- Weapons sent to Jordan from the CIA and Saudi Arabia have been stolen by Jordanian intelligence operatives.
- The weapons have been sold on the black market to a number of different organizations.
- Some of the weapons were even used back in November for a shooting of a police training facility where two Americans lost their lives.
American and Saudi Arabian weapons are now for sale on the black market in Jordan, officials have said.
Apparently, Saudi Arabia and the Central Intelligence Agency sent weapons into Jordan for Syrian rebels, they, unfortunately, never reached their destination. They were stolen by Jordanian intelligence operatives and sold to the black market.
Some of the weapons have already surfaced. A number of them were used in a shooting in November when a Jordanian officer took the life of two Americans and three others at a police training facility in Amman.
The facility was set up after the U.S. invasion of Iraq back in 2003. Initially, it was used to help train Palestinian Authority police officers.
The theft of the weapons apparently happened months ago, yet it was just recently reported. An investigation was done by The New York Times and Al Jazeera, that discovered the information. Millions of dollars weapons were stolen, which were intended to help with the assistance of training rebels in Jordan.
It has been said, by Jordanian officials, that some officials from Jordan were involved in the theft and sale of the weapons.
The CIA has not made a comment about the weapons at the moment.
