During the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday, former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton said she wishes Donald Trump “knew how to be a president.”

“After the last election, I said, ‘We owe Donald Trump an open mind and the chance to lead.' I really meant it. Every president deserves that,” Clinton said on the third night of the Democratic Convention. “I wish Donald Trump had been a better president. Because America needs a better president than this.”

“For four years, people have said to me, ‘I didn’t realize how dangerous he was.’ ‘I wish I could go back and do it over.’ ‘I should have voted,’” Clinton continued. “This can’t be another woulda-coulda-shoulda election.”

According to Clinton, “no matter what, vote.” She also encouraged people to “convince everyone you know to vote.”

Clinton urged Democrats to vote in “overwhelming” numbers.

“Don't forget: Joe and Kamala can win by 3 million votes and still lose. Take it from me. We need numbers overwhelming, so Trump can't sneak or steal his way to victory,” she said.

ABC 11 explained that “after four decades in public life and two of her own bids for the presidency, in 2008 and 2016,” Clinton is “despised by many Republicans, viewed warily by some progressives and beloved by many Democrats, particularly women, who see her as a survivor.”
