President Joe Biden’s numbers are dropping fast, especially among critical independent voters. At this point, the White House should start sounding off the alarm.

A new poll showed that President Joe Biden is hemorrhaging support from a critical voter demographic. He’s also losing voters in all other demographics as well.

Biden Losing Support From Independent Voters and Everybody Else

A new Associated Press-NORC survey reported that Biden’s present approval rating is 50%. In addition, he also sports a 49% disapproval rating. This is a huge 10% drop from his previous 59% approval in July.

In fact, Biden lost some ground with his own party. From a 92% approval rating last July, Biden’s support among Democrats is now at 85%. Even lesser numbers of Republicans are also throwing their support behind the President. From 32% approval in July, the number dwindled to 23%.

However, the bigger concern is the loss of independent voter support. Since July, Biden lost a whopping 24 points in that particular demographic. 62% of the independent voters professed approval for the President two months ago. Now, the number is down to 38%.

Key Demographics Show Biden Losing Support Across America

Among White Americans, Biden lost seven percentage points. Approval is now at 42%, which used to be 49% in July. The minority votes are also trending downward.

Black Americans overwhelmingly supported the President two months ago at 84%. Now, it’s just 64%. In terms of residents, urban Americans also lost faith in the President, with his approval rating going down to 49% from a previous 57%. Rural Americans are also displaying the same trend. From a high of 53% last July, support is now down to 36%.

Only 34% Of Americans Agree That the US Is Headed in the Right Direction

To make matters worse, only 34% of Americans believe that the country is heading in the right direction. During the first month of the Biden administration, roughly half of the population thought so. Now, a sizable majority (64%) think that the country is heading in the opposite direction.

From a 60% approval rating on how he managed the economy in March, only 47% now believe that Biden is doing a good job. Overall, 45% of Americans believe that the economy is good while 54% say it’s poor. Even as around 80% of Democrats think Biden is handling the economy well, only 10% of Republicans agree.

Good In Pandemic, Bad In Afghanistan

The handling of the pandemic remains Biden’s strong suit. While his numbers dropped from his 66% approval rating in July, Biden holds a good 57% rating. 23% of Republicans agree that the President is holding his own versus the virus, while 86% of Democrats say the same.

Eighty-six percent of Democrats approve of Biden’s handling of the pandemic, compared with 23% of Republicans. In July, 32% of Republicans said they approved.

Around half of all Americans surveyed approve of the administration’s plan to mandate vaccines. Meanwhile, 33% of respondents disapproved and 14% did not give an opinion.

Then again, Biden showed his weakness in handling Afghanistan. 65% of the public disapprove of the way he handled America’s exit. In contrast, only 34% agreed.

Despite the disagreement, 45% of Americans agreed with the decision to completely withdraw US troops from the country. 65% of Democrats did so while only 24% of Republicans agreed.

In addition, the border crisis also presented Biden with a bad scorecard. 64% of Americans disapproved of how he handled immigration issues. Only 35% approved.
