Ivanka Trump Calls Out the Media: “The Media’s Near Total Silence About the Physical Violence Being Perpetrated Against Conservatives Is Shameful & Dangerous”
On Sunday, Ivanka Trump called out the media for having double standards when it comes to violence towards conservatives and Trump supporters.
“The media’s near total silence about the physical violence being perpetrated against conservatives is shameful & dangerous. Just image [sic] the outrage and indignation if this went the other way. Violence is never the answer and instigators must be condemned and prosecuted,” she wrote on Twitter.
According to Fox News, the comments of Ivanka Trump “marked a rare instance of forthrightness” for her. Also, they “come a day after violent scuffles during the so-called Million MAGA March in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.”
Many Trump supporters descended on the Nation's Capital Saturday for the Million MAGA March. This “both aimed to show their continued support of the president and protest the election results as the president insists it was ‘rigged,’” reported The Daily Mail.
There are videos showing demonstrators and counterdemonstrators being violent.
Donald Trump Jr. similarly slammed the “media’s silence.”
“The media’s silence on the violence against Trump supporters is deafening. After four years of calling them Nazis, at this point they might as well just dox them all or add the [sic] to AOC’s lists for the Gulags. They are complicit in the violence. They are the worst of the worst,” he tweeted.
The Daily Mail also reported that Trump’s two eldest children and closest advisers tweeted these thoughts. This happened “the morning after violent clashes ensued between pro- and anti-Trump protesters in Washington D.C.”
