Media Is Lying Again About Children Torn From Parents Arms

The head of the Department of Homeland Security bashed the media Sunday for their reporting on the increasingly volatile immigration controversy, writing in a string of tweets: “We do not have a policy of separating families at the border. Period.”

Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen added: “This misreporting by Members, press & advocacy groups must stop. It is irresponsible and unproductive. As I have said many times before, if you are seeking asylum for your family, there is no reason to break the law and illegally cross between ports of entry.”

She noted that no one is “breaking the law by seeking asylum at a port of entry.”

The Trump administration, which has called it “horrible” that illegal-immigrant children are sometimes separated from their parents when their parents enter criminal proceedings, has been criticized in recent weeks for increasing the prosecutions of illegal immigrants under a “zero-tolerance” policy that critics say leads to those separations.

Obama was the worse offender of these laws… Now that it's convenient Trump gets all the blame…I think these laws are smart, we have enough correct ways to enter this country don't let your children become victims of your ignorance…

I don’t understand (maybe I do) why the media ignores the fact the PARENTS put their children at risk by crossing ILLEGALLY..

  • Stop the unnamed sourses garbage that the media likes to use as an excuse to cause more division in our country and hold them accountable for lies.

I do not think that they should use the excuse that they need to be with their children. If they were U.S. Citizens, then they would be just fine to enter the U.S. It makes you wonder if the parents let the children enter the U.S. then they think that it would be just fine to let the parents in.

I was a foster parent for 30 years. The policy of the foster parent system is to protect minors from being abused, mistreated, and, or being involved in illegal activities while trying to provide the child with compassionate, caring environments nearly comparative with a normal home life. Those immigrants who do not apply to enter the US at legal entry points, even though they might have the best of motives, are committing a crime. It is unfortunate that the authorities are being overwhelmed by the sheer number of illegals coming into the Country. State Social Services are also struggling with the number of children among these. The children, for the most part, don’t realise what is going on. They do need to be separated from the adults until things can be sorted out. I do wish that things could be simpler, and I know that it may seem inhumane to separate the children from the adults, but, for those who want to keep them with the parents or adults who are doing these illegal action, please tell me, what should we do?
