President Joe Biden recently announced that they plan to launch a new “door-to-door” vaccine scheme. This comes following the current administration failing to meet its Fourth of July goal of having 70% of American adults having at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, Gov. Mike Parson of Missouri made it clear that he will not allow this vaccine scheme of the Biden administration to happen in his state.

On Thursday, Parson said in a tweet that he has instructed the state’s health department to inform the federal government that sending the state’s government employees and agents door-to-door for the vaccine plan of President Biden will not be effective or welcome in Missouri.

He then added that they will still offer convenient vaccination options to the residents who want to have their shots. Parson then noted that he has received the vaccine. He also urged everyone above 12 to get theirs to protect themselves and the people around them.

On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki revealed that the administration had launched “strike forces.” that go door-to-door. These groups would try to convince people to receive the vaccine.

She also noted that they had the goal of reaching 70% of adults.

“So we had set a goal of reaching 70% of adults,” Psaki said.

She added that they will continue efforts to reach it and that they will reach it in a couple of weeks for adults over 18. Psaki then added that their work does not stop there. She noted that they will also continue efforts to have people 12 to 18 years old vaccinated. She said this is why they are launching strike forces, they want to determine what these people need. Psaki said the administration will use a “localized, specific approach” that would work with officials in communities.

Later on, a reporter asked Psaki about the number of cases having an upward trend. The reporter asked if the White House plans to reimpose restrictions or would the states decide.

To this, the press secretary said the states would need to evaluate the situation. Based on that, they would take action according to their interests.

Biden also spoke about the door-to-door vaccination campaign plan on Tuesday.

He said they need to go “go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood and often times door-to-door” so that they can help urge those without the vaccine to get theirs.

Following Psaki and Biden’s statements, a number of GOP lawmakers quickly made their criticisms known.

Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona states it's NONE of the Governments Business knowing who has or hasn't been vaccinated.
