MyPillow CEO and Trump Supporter Says Kohl’s and Other Companies Will Drop Brand
Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow who was also pushing people to believe claims of voter fraud during the 2020 elections, says multiple retailers plan to stop selling his company’s products.
In an interview with Right Side Broadcasting, Lindell mentioned speaking to representatives from Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's. He claims that both retailers would stop selling his pillows.
The CEO remarked during the interview on Monday night: “These guys don’t understand.” He added that “They were good partners. In fact, I told them, ‘You guys come back anytime you want.’”
Apart from this, Lindell also spoke to Fox 9, saying that Wayfair and H-E-B have decided to sever their ties with his company.
In a statement released to USA TODAY, Kohl's stated that, because of “decreased customer demand,” they decided to drop the MyPillow brand. The retailer also said that they still plan on selling their current inventory. They do not also plan on buying more stocks from the brand.
However, on Tuesday, the brand can still be found on the websites of Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's.
Retailers Try To Maintain Distance From MyPillow
According to Reputation Management Consultants chairman Eric Schiffer, big retailers such as Kohl’s and Bed Bath & Beyond would not want to get their own brands involved in a possible fallout from Lindell’s brand because of his “reckless war on American democracy.”
Lindell is a known loyal supporter of President Donald Trump. Until now, the CEO has continued to push the claims of voter fraud and that Trump was the winner of the 2020 elections.
Just last Thursday, Lindell was still telling supporters to “keep the faith” and that Trump will still be the president for another four years.
