A new Netflix show, “Get Organized with The Home Edit,” likely encourages viewers to shop at The Container Store.

The series follows professional organizers, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin. They “help celebrities and everyday clients edit, categorize and contain their clutter to create stunning spaces,” explained the streaming service.

“With their infectious friendship and can-do attitudes on full display, Shearer and Teplin make over 16 different spaces during the series’ supremely watchable first season,” reported Mashable.

Mashable also reported that in the weeks since the show’s release, many viewers have reported seeing unusually long lines outside of Container Stores across the U.S.

The Container Stor exclusively sells Shearer and Teplin’s own line of organizational items.

Benzinga staff writer Chris Katje reported that The Container Store has seen a substantial increase in stock price since the show was released on Netflix. From September 9th to 21st, the stock price for Container Store Group Inc. nearly doubled – from $3.73 to $6.58.

Fox Business clarified that sales may be soaring because more Americans are working on their homes during the pandemic. However, many viewers of the show have already admitted to buying from the said store as well.

“Increasing The Container Store and its products’ visibility on a major streaming service improved public perception of The Container Store and its products, which in turn could theoretically make them more profitable,” Mashable explained.
