Nineteen people involved in election day activities this month have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to Wisconsin health officials.

These people either voted in person or worked at polling sites on April 7th. However, there is “no way to know with certainty” if they got the virus there or elsewhere.

Fox News reported that Democratic Gov. Tony Evers ordered to delay the election a day before. However, Republican legislative leaders won an appeal in the state's conservative-controlled Supreme Court.

City Health Commissioner Jeanette Kowalik says that officials in Milwaukee are still gathering information. They get data from around 70 percent of those who have tested positive since the election.

However, a department spokesperson said that several of those people “reported other possible exposures as well,”  according to ABC News. Officials hesitate to relate the new cases of the coronavirus directly to the election.

The spokesperson revealed that they only have data on positive cases. The spokesperson also mentioned: “there is no way to know with certainty if any exposures at the polls that are reported are in fact attributable to COVID-19 illness.”

Kowalik says city officials only have partial data at this point. They are looking to have more complete information by Friday.

“As of now, we only have 30% of the data as far as any new COVID-19 cases that were associated with the date of the 7th of April, which is when the election was held,” she said. “There needs to be a little bit more analysis so we can connect the dots, that's why case investigation and contact tracing is so important.”

How many people that were not involved in the election have tested positive? This headline is so bogus that it’s not even funny!
