That’s the thought that sinks into my mind every time I think about the unfortunate death of justice Antonin Scalia.
Scalia was a great man and hearing of his passing left me speechless and saddened to see such a great man go out before this country could stand to lose him. We would probably never be at a time that didn’t need Scalia, but now definitely feels like the darkest of possible times.
However, those friends in Washington that we still have Know it, just as the ones we oppose do. Both sides could spare no time to mourn, or waste time to celebrate. A battle is coming.
The battle is to appoint a new supreme court justice, a responsibility that unfortunately falls to the president, one Barack Hussein Obama. He is no friend to this country.
With his nomination, the Supreme Court will slide into a majority of leftist judges serving for life. They will undermine the Constitution and the rule of law that runs this country. Should this happen you will wake up to an America that is not the one we remember as children.
Mark my words, this is the biggest action Obama will have taken during his presidency and with it, he will have won…
There is hope! The allies of ours still in Congress have vowed to fight him on any appointment, desperately standing their ground for a year until the new president is sworn in. If we can get a good Republican into the Oval Office, then perhaps we can restore the constitutional order to the Supreme Court.
My father always taught me one thing when facing a hard decision, something you don’t want to look at. He would say “knowing is always better than not knowing.” You cannot enact or prevent change in what you do not know. So with that I will, unfortunately, leave you with the darkest of all possibilities.
Should Bernie or Hillary win the presidency then they could appoint a well known, “constitutional” lawyer turned ex-president, Barack Hussein Obama.
