Will the GOP Repeal Obamacare If They Regain Majority in 2024?

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) wants the GOP to repeal Obamacare once the GOP regains the majority in 2024. This means a clean sweep in the White House, the House, and the Senate. It also means resurrecting the fight against the Affordable Care Act they largely gave up on in 2018.

Johnson Hopes GOP Will Secure Supermajority In 2024
Johnson hopes that given the current approval ratings of the Biden administration, the GOP will regain the upper hand in 2024.
Right now, Johnson said that the GOP’s main goal is to obstruct President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party’s agenda until the midterm elections this year.
If the Republicans regain the White House two years later, then they could proceed with the programs.
One such program is the need to repeal Obamacare. Before the GOP does so, Johnson said they need to fix the US healthcare system.
He wants to have a plan to replace Obamacare ready by the time they regain the majority. He pointed out that the lack of an alternative program doomed their chances to repeal Obamacare last time.
2018 Last Time Republicans Tried To Repeal Obamacare
Under then-President Donald Trump, Republicans controlled both Congress and the White House. However, their plan to repeal Obamacare at the time failed, especially as three moderate Republicans refused to lend their support to their party.
Now that a Democrat President is in office, the ACA grew more popular. Last year, the White House announced that 31 million Americans now have healthcare coverage through the ACA.
This is the highest number of enrollees since the program started in 2010. During a special enrollment period last year, around 2.8 million Americans signed up for it. This helped them find insurance coverage during the coronavirus pandemic.
Will the Rest of the GOP Still Want To Repeal Obamacare?
However, it remains unclear how many GOP lawmakers will still want to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a new program.
In fact, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnel (KY) insisted that they will not release a platform ahead of the midterm elections. He said that the party needs to reveal its plans for running Congress only “when we take it back.”
Since Obamacare’s approval in 2009, the Republican party pushed more than 60 unsuccessful Congressional votes to defeat it.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court already debated it four times in its ten years’ existence. When the government shut down in 2013, Obamacare was at the center of the opposition for new budgets.

Trump should be indicted on tax evasion, among other things. He should be in prison.
It just goes to show you how ignorant the DUMB-O-CRATS are.
Kangaroo here comments on something in (comments)about ACA which has nothing to do whatsover about the ACA.
AND JUST AS MY HANDLE INTELLS ALL YOU DUMB-O-CRATS ARE GOING TO BE HEART BROKEN IN NOVEMBER!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
At least there are 30 Democrats that are not that DUMB. They know that they have not got a chance come November.
Those 30 RATS are jumping ship before November. Thats the most retiring Democrats ever in one year!!!
Obama and Biden should hang in the gallows for what they’ve done to this country, but they’re all criminals. Unfortunately the ignorant, like Ronald Kangas don’t see the failed witch hunts for what they are. Haven’t seen the latest headline Ronald, NY found nothing to indict him on. Now Pelosi, Newsom, Xiden, Osama, Clintonx2, Schumer, they all have a lot to worry about! But in the end they’re all criminals, and they serve Klaus! Get ready for the reset, where you own nothing but you’re so happy!” Their words, not mine! Jokes on you guys!
