Republican House Has The Answer to Biden’s Disastrous Budget That Can Eliminate Deficit in 5 Years

On Wednesday, Republican members of the House of Representatives will reveal their answer to President Joe Biden’s 2022 budget. They will put forward a document that mentions they will be able to balance the federal budget within five years. They need to do so while decreasing taxes by $1.9 trillion

The proposal by the Republican Study Committee would remove a long list of discretionary programs. It would also change federal programs, such as Medicaid and CHIP into block grants, among others.

These cuts, along with fewer regulations, the raising of the retirement age for Social Security as well as the eligibility age for Medicare up, among other things, would be able to balance the budget of the country in five years.

The RSC proposal would likely not pass or even get a vote on the House floor because Democrats control the two chambers of Congress. Even budgets like what the president announced previously serve essentially as symbolic gestures that are meant to show priorities instead of actually viable proposals.

In line with this, it also has provisions that do not have an effect on the budget at all. Some include the opposition to packing SCOTUS and a proposal to separate the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals into two separate courts, among others.

It also has multiple pro-life provisions and a significant line on the criminal justice front.
