***THIS IS SATIRE***

A truck carrying 10,000 rotten tomatoes been intercepted by police and authorities are now convinced that they were destined for a Donald Trump rally in Florida. The tomatoes are believed to have been sent to the Sunshine State ahead of tonight’s Florida primary polls, where Donald Trump will be battling with Ted Cruz in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

Speaking about the haul, a police spokesman said, “We were alerted to the truck by a concerned member of the public, after a trail of red liquid was seen pouring from it. Once we established it was not blood, we opened the doors and were met with the sight of thousands tomatoes, each one way past their sell by date.”

When asked what made them the Trump rally was the final destination for the load, police said that the driver of the truck was wearing a #FeelTheBern t-shirt and when asked for his occupation, he said he was a student. Police now believe he is part of a bigger circle who are looking to create unrest by throwing the rotten fruit at Trump supporters and Trump himself.

By the time news of the police stop reached Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner had already bought shares in every Tomato distributor and farm in the country. A spokesman for Mr. Trump said, “For every tomato they throw, The Big D will make a dollar!”

Your move liberals!
