The Republican Party Has Betrayed Us
After Super Tuesday, it is clear that Donald Trump is a force to be reckoned with. One that the Republican establishment has no desire to see become president. The GOP is prepared to undercut Trump by any means necessary and subvert the people’s vote.
This will kill the Republican party.
The Republican party was already on life support. The libertarian and tea party movements have already torn it apart by dividing up its voter base and drawing too many lines in the sand. Their trust factor with voters is almost completely eroded. It should be no wonder that the people are seeking an outspoken outsider like Donald Trump.
Donald Trump will get the nomination and the GOP establishment will go insane. They will do whatever they can to torpedo his chance of winning the general election. They will go as far as to run an independent to split his vote, the very thing that Trump had threatened them with at the start of his run. The Republican party will let Hillary Clinton have the White House and in doing so fracture their party beyond repair.
Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Mitt Romney, and all of the other GOP elite say that Donald Trump doesn’t represent the Republican party, that he isn’t a true conservative, and that he isn’t what he says he is.
Yet, you, the people, have all come out in support of him time and time again. Now, maybe Donald Trump is a great con artist or he won’t make good on his promises, but, that’s not even the point. There is so much more at stake here
The Republican party, your party… my party… has said that we can’t be trusted with our vote. They are saying that the people in their party aren’t responsible enough to pick who they want because we aren’t smart enough to choose for ourselves.
That is not Democracy. The people will make mistakes, that is human nature, but our politicians don’t get to decide how we vote.
Even if you hate Donald Trump, you must understand that there is so much more at stake here. The two party system is already so flawed and rarely does the best candidate get chosen, but when we let them completely subvert our voice and votes than we have truly lost America.
The current GOP leaders can’t even see that they are the reason that Trump is winning. For too long they have sold us out and turned a deaf ear to our cries. The very fact that they hate Trump so much is what makes his voters love him so much. The harder they fight the more he wins.

I agree because I have seen this before in my state of Minnesota when we elected Jesse Ventura to Governor. The Republican Party has deserted us and has become no better then the Democrats. They now have majorities in the House and Senate and have done nothing with it. They have not stopped funding Obamacare. They gave in on a budget until Obama is out of office. They are political cowards. Trump may be somewhat offensive in his language and has a lot of old baggage that will for sure come up. But he will shake things up and he is not one of the political elite. His ego will prevent him from failing as a President and with the many companies that he owns, he has proved that he will hire the right people to advise him and manage, and they won’t be political elites. He is going to get our vote.
His opponents may point to some of his failed companies in one way or another. But he is an entrepreneur and in order to build companies and hire a lot of employees he has to take some risk. No one can be 100% successful at everything they do. Taking some calculated risk what our Nations Founding Fathers did. It is what makes capitalism work and made our country strong.
