Trey Gowdy: Trump’s Secret Weapon

Only hours after the White House sent a letter to Pelosi and Co. Monday confirming it will not cooperate with the left's kangaroo court they dropped another massive bombshell on the radical left.  An unnamed official confirmed Tuesday that Trey Gowdy has joined the President's fight against Democrat's illegitimate impeachment circus.  Gowdy served South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District for eight years before retiring in 2018.

Mr. Gowdy is no stranger to intense political infighting and investigation.  As Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Gowdy oversaw the investigation into Hilary Clinton and the events surrounding the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya. Before his journey through the DC swap Gowdy served as a federal prosecutor and then as the District Attorney of South Carolina's Seventh Judicial Circuit.

The White House isn't the only side making bold moves. In response to the President's official damnation of the left's impeachment debacle Princess Pelosi said:

“The White House should be warned that continued efforts to hide the truth of the President’s abuse of power from the American people will be regarded as further evidence of obstruction.”

At this point Pelosi's threats and warnings should be taken about as seriously as Corey Booker's Presidential campaign. However, Trump's addition of Gowdy as an outside counsel is further evidence of how serious the White House intends on fighting the Demorat's 2020 hail mary.

Although the left will race to condemn Gowdy as just another partisan operator, he has proven time and time again he has no problem going against the political grain.  Gowdy voiced his support for Robert Mueller when President Trump railed against the special counsel, saying he did not think Mueller should step down. Gowdy also pushed back against the President's claims that the FBI placed informants in his campaign to act as a spy.

With the addition of Gowdy one thing is certain. If given the opportunity to rebuke any of the liberal's impeachment follies he won't miss the mark. Check out Gowdy's recent interview with Fox New's Martha MacCallum below.
