Trump Unleashes on Paul Ryan as a ‘Weak Leader’ Republicans Follow

Donald Trump lambasted former House Speaker and current board member of Fox Corp, Paul Ryan, who held a rally against the former president.

In a statement, Trump called Ryan a RINO. He then claimed that Ryan was the ”single biggest factor” apart from “Romney himself” for losing their Presidential race back in 2012. The former president hinted at the irony that Ryan is now telling other members of the Republican party how to win the elections.

Trump then pointed out how he had to save Ryan when people booed the former House Speaker off the stage in Wisconsin.

The former president said that Ryan should teach Republicans how to stop cheating in the elections and how they would have won in 2020 if GOP leadership played the way Democrats did.

Trump then claimed that Ryan joining the Fox Corp. board caused it to change. It “lost its way and became a much different place.” His joining, according to the former president, caused millions of Republican supporters to flee “for good.”

With this, Trump claimed that Ryan is a curse to the GOP. He said the latter is clueless as to what action the country needs. He called Ryan “a weak and ineffective leader” who fights fellow Republicans instead of Democrats “who are destroying our Country.”

Having Ryan with you “almost guarantees a loss,” the former president concluded. He said this also goes for the GOP and the country itself.

Meanwhile, ahead of the mid-term elections, Ryan held a rally at the Raegan library in California. The former president also slammed the event.

Trump said that former President Ronald Reagan would feel unhappy to know that the Washington Post's Fred Ryan runs the library named after him. Trump rhetorically asked how this happened. He then said it’s why the said library only had “RINO” speakers.

Paul Ryan Takes a Jab at Trump and his Legacy

On Thursday, Paul Ryan used the event in California to slam Trump and the former president’s legacy. In his speech, he criticized both Republicans and Democrats, but he reserved his sharpest jabs at the former president.

Ryan said that it felt “horrifying” to witness a presidency end in a “dishonorable and disgraceful way,” addressing the Jan. 6 riots.

“It was horrifying to see a presidency come to such a dishonorable and disgraceful end,” Ryan said about the January 6th riots.

Conservatives find themselves “at a crossroads,” according to the former house speaker. He said they have to face the reality of whether their cause need to lean on the “populist appeal” of one person or on “second-rate imitations.”

Ryan added that the American voters look for “independence and mettle” in GOP leaders. They won’t be impressed by “yes-men and flatterers” who are “flocking to Mar-a-Lago.”
