The candidates were within 2% of each other on Sept. 22, but Clinton built a double-digit lead after her challenger's erratic debate performances and mounting sexual harassment accusations. Sunday's poll says Trump also took a hit by having House Speaker Paul Ryan refuse to keep campaigning for him.
Clinton's diminished lead concides with FBI Director James Comey's Friday announcement that the bureau is investigating new emails that could be related to Clinton's use of a private email server.

Few details have emerged about that case, but it began through the federal probe into disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner's alleged sexting with a teen.
About a third of likely voters say they're less likely to support Clinton following Comey's disclosure, according to the poll. The survey has consistently shown the majority of Americans disapproving of Clinton's overall handling of her email scandals.
That said, most voters still expect Clinton to win the White House anyway, with 60% saying her victory is likely. The poll noted that the apparent inevitability of Clinton's win might be a “risk” that dissuades her supporters from coming out on Election Day.
While Clinton leads Trump on qualifications and moral character, she and Trump received similar support in terms of empathy.

I feel that Trump will do his best to savage our country. After eight years of Obama our country is in horrible shape. We really need someone who will drain the swamp.
HILLARY has way too much BAGGAGE to lead The United States of America……..
That ( B) should be in JAIL.
I believe Trump is up by 6 to 7 or more if the democrats would stop double sampling their polling results!
We NEED a Christian in the White HOUSE…
Because Trump will win in a landslide. He has more supporters as shown by the attendance at his rallies. More people have registered Republican this election than ever before. More black people are voting for Trump. A lot of Democrats who voted for Sanders will vote for Johnson or stay home rather than vote for Hillary because they believe her to be a corrupt liar who will do or say anything to get elected.
