President Donald Trump pardons Michael Flynn, his former national security adviser via Twitter. “It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon,” the president wrote. “Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!”

Later that day, the White House released a statement saying that Flynn “should never have been prosecuted” and that the pardon ends “the relentless, partisan pursuit of an innocent man.” It added: “While today’s action sets right an injustice against an innocent man and an American hero, it should also serve as a reminder to all of us that we must remain vigilant over those in whom we place our trust and confidence.”

US Sanctions Against Russia

In 2016, Michael Flynn allegedly talked to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislya. He reportedly talked about US sanctions against Russia a month before Trump took office. Senior US officials see the interaction as inappropriate and potentially illegal. When asked about it, Flynn denied talking about sanctions with Kislyak.

Two days later, he backtracked. Through a spokesman, Flynn “indicated that while he had no recollection of discussing sanctions, he couldn’t be certain that the topic never came up.” The conversation drew the attention of the FBI, who were already investigating possible collaboration between Trump officials and Russia. White House officials also stated that Flynn and Kislyak did not discuss sanctions. But later on, Flynn pled guilty twice to lying to the FBI about this matter.

Mueller Investigation

A Special Counsel investigation by special prosecutor Robert Mueller investigated the matter. From May 2017 to March 2019, they tried to establish if the Trump campaign actively collaborated with Russian officials. Flynn cooperated with the Mueller investigation at first but later withdrew. He said prosecutors were railroading him in order to get to Trump.

Upon the completion of the investigation, the Mueller report did not come to a conclusion. The White House said that the investigation was a hoax and that Trump is a victim. Earlier this year, Flynn’s lawyers asked to withdraw his guilty plea. They claimed prosecutorial misconduct in handling Flynn’s case.

Prosecutorial Misconduct

FBI documents detail how they handled Flynn's case. One of the FBI’s notes asked what their goal is in investigating Flynn. It asked what the game plan should be. Do they ask him for the “Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”

Given the new findings, the Trump Justice Department moved to drop its case against Flynn. At first, a three-judge panel agreed to dismiss the case. However, Sullivan asked the full lineup of appellate court judges to reconsider. They agreed and sent the case back for consideration if they should agree with the DOJ for the dismissal.

White House Backs Flynn

Trump often remarked that he considered granting Flynn a pardon. After all, he worked as National Security Adviser for less than a month before Trump had to fire him.

In a statement, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said “The President has pardoned General Flynn because he should never have been prosecuted.” She added that “An independent review of General Flynn’s case by the Department of Justice — conducted by respected career professionals— supports this conclusion.”

“In fact, the Department of Justice has firmly concluded that the charges against General Flynn should be dropped. This Full Pardon achieves that objective, finally bringing to an end the relentless, partisan pursuit of an innocent man,” she said.

‘They Shall Not Prevail Against Thee’

The pardon rendered the investigation and the ongoing review to drop the case moot. This also ensures that there won't be any further action against Flynn on the matter.

Meanwhile, and hours before he received the pardon, Flynn tweeted “Jeremiah 1:19.” Referring to a Bible verse, it talked about prevailing against enemies. The verse read: “And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.”

Flynn was cohered into a confession, he was not afforded the protections he is entitled to under the law, and these were false charges. He is a patriot, and they had to get rid of him before he exposed all the corruption he is aware of.

On December 29, 2016, the intelligence community released the Joint Analysis Report (JAR). This was timed to coincide with President Obama ordering 35 Russian officials to leave the country.
That same day, reacting to the sanctions, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak calls incoming National Security Adviser Lt. General Michael Flynn. The intelligence community was monitoring the call.

Flynn told investigators he’d never discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with a Russian ambassador when those sanctions were imposed by the Obama administration shortly after the 2016 election.

Pence repeated Flynns claim during a January 15, 2017 interview with Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson. Pence said he’d spoken with Flynn about his Christmas Day interaction with a Russian envoy. “He had sent a text to the Russian ambassador to express not only Christmas wishes but sympathy for the loss of life in the airplane crash that took place,” Pence said. “It was strictly coincidental that they had a conversation. They did not discuss anything having to do with the United States’ decision to expel diplomats or impose censure against Russia.”

Pence continued, “What I can confirm, having spoken to him about it, is that those conversations that happened to occur around the time that the United States took action to expel diplomats had nothing whatsoever to do with those sanctions.”

“But that still leaves open the possibility that there might have been other conversations about the sanctions,” Dickerson followed up.

“I don’t believe there were more conversations,” Pence replied.

The media has continuously repeated the charge that then-National Security Adviser Flynn lied to Vice President Pence. The media is using this ruse to distract Americans from the framing of the general.

Flynn was supposedly scrutinized at the time for potentially violating the Logan Act, an obscure law dealing with conversations with foreign adversaries.

But Flynn’s allies have long maintained that his conversations were legitimate and he was lured into a “perjury trap” by the FBI.

The transcript of the December 29, 2016 call offers a clear window into those talks and reveals that Flynns conversations with Kislyak were indeed legitimate.

One thing that seems apparent is the White House was *never given a transcript* of the Flynn call at the time. Instead, they were given “tech cuts” or a summary of tech cuts. Tech cuts are a summary of raw signals.

Vice President Pence could have been fed a distorted view of the conversation with tech cuts, especially from the actual dirty cops who framed him. Flynn told the truth as he knew it. This likely means Pence wasn’t shown a literal transcript of the call by then-Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe, but a summary of it.

It’s also important to note that the Obama executive order about sanctions against Russia was announced on December 29, 2016, the same day the expulsion of dozens of individual Russians was announced and the same day Flynn spoke with Kislyak.

There is no mention of the sanctions in the edited version of the FD-302.
An FD-302 form is used by FBI agents to “report or summarize the interviews that they conduct” and contains information from the notes taken during the interview by the non-primary agent.

Flynn told FBI agents he had discussed the expulsions with Kislyak. Flynn had not been asked about the sanctions. These were two separate actions. Had he been asked, he would have discussed them. Flynn and the FBI were conflating the two things. If they didn’t ask, how could he lie about it?

Court documents released earlier this year revealed that when the initial investigation against Flynn began, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had worked to lay a perjury trap. Their sole purpose in going after Flynn was not because he had done anything wrong, but because they wanted to take him out.

Flynn, who previously worked for the Obama administration, switched political sides after witnessing what he called “bumbling indecisiveness, willful ignorance and total incompetence” in the handling of many political issues, including the Iran nuclear deal and the Islamic State.

After leaving the Obama administration, he became a staunch Trump supporter and outspoken critic of the Obama administration, calling for an investigation “to start at the top,” with former President Barack Obama himself. The left worked to take him out so they wouldn’t be exposed.

But the investigation to take down Flynn has once again backfired. It has revealed incriminating evidence against Obama and his staff.

The latest public release of evidence is handwritten notes by former FBI agent Peter Strzok of a January 5, 2017 meeting Obama held with then Vice President Joe Biden, former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and then National Security Adviser Susan Rice. The notes confirm that Barack Obama was central to initiating the surveillance and operation against Flynn. He personally directed Comey and Yates to investigate Flynn. He also suggested that the information be withheld from incoming President Trump and his security team.

This all happened despite what Obama claimed in 2016: “I do not talk to the attorney general about pending investigations. I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations. We have a strict line and always have maintained it …. I guarantee it.” That was a blatant lie.

The latest evidence also incriminates presidential candidate Joe Biden. Biden previously denied having any knowledge of the investigation against Flynn, but the notes reveal that he was in the January 5, 2017, meeting and he was the one to suggest using the Logan Act against Flynn.

Also in the notes, Comey is recorded as saying that the phone calls appeared “legit,” or legitimate. This reveals that from the very beginning the investigators were creating a crime they knew didn’t exist.

This case, together with the previous 3½ years of Donald Trump’s presidency, has revealed massive corruption within the highest levels of America.

  • H. Wheale says:

What the Obama administration did to Trump is beyond unconscionable and the media was/is complicit. How long will Biden last if treated the same way, a day, a week, a month? Flynn did not lie to the FBI as believed by the agents who interviewed him. He pled because the bureau threatened his family, probably under direction from Obama. If somebody in the previous administration is not prosecuted it will conclusively prove there are at least tow standards of “justice.” One the Democrat apparatchik and one for the proletariat.
