On Thursday, Beyond Meat launched a direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform that features “products ranging from $49.99 for a trial pack of Beyond burgers, brats and sausages, and $71.99 for six 1-pound packages of its faux meat,” as reported by Fox Business.

“Our food is simple. Made from plants. With no GMOs. No synthetically produced ingredients. No known carcinogens,” the company said on the platform. They also said “No hormones. No antibiotics. No cholesterol. We believe it's the future of food.”

According to Fox Business, the launch is closely after rival Impossible Foods debuted its own online retail site.

Beyond Meat’s products are already available in 26,000 retail outlets across the U.S., such as Kroger, Walmart, and Target.

The company also takes pride in sustainable shipping.

“Our packing cartons and insulation are curbside recyclable and shipped using UPS carbon neutral shipping. Through this program, UPS supports wastewater treatment and landfill gas capture projects that offset projected emissions from the shipment,” the website also reads.

Possibly prompted by meat shortages earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Beyond Meat reported a 141% jump in quarterly revenues in May as more Americans stayed and cooked their meals at home.
