Biden’s August Net Approval Rating Ties March’s -13 Low
The approval rating of Pres. Joe Biden has tanked and has failed to recover since it dropped last spring, as per a new NBC News poll.
The survey, released over the weekend, revealed that only 42% of its respondents approved of the president, while 55% disapproved of how he runs things. As such, Biden’s net approval rating stands at -13 percent.
The said news site published an article, making it seem like the president is experiencing a political rebound; the survey shows otherwise since Biden’s net approval rating stood at -12 in May and -13 in march.
“For months, Joe Biden’s presidency has been suffering from weak approval ratings, doubts about his viability for a second term in office, and criticism over his incomplete legislative record,” the Financial Times reported in August. “But a streak of victories on Capitol Hill in recent weeks… has bolstered the White House incumbent’s claims to a successful first 18 months in office, and set the stage for a possible political rebound,” the paper wrote in their article.
The latest poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters. It was conducted between August 12-16 and had a 3.1-point margin of error.
