Breaking: Trump Announces His First Post-Presidency Rally
Former President Donald Trump has revealed that he will hold his first post-presidency rally in Wellington, Ohio, later this month.
Trump says his appearance in the rally is bound to be “the first of many.”
The former president will appear for a rally on June 26. It will take place at Lorain County Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. ET. The doors to the event will open at 2 p.m. Tickets for the rally are free but a request is limited to only two tickets.
At the time of writing, it remains unknown whether guest speakers will attend the event.
Trump’s Save America Pac released a statement, noting that the said rally would mark the former president’s many appearances to support candidates and causes that emulate and stand by the MAGA agenda, as well as the Trump administration’s many accomplishments.
Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Trump is expected to back and endorse candidates. This includes Max Miller, a former White House aide. Miller plans on challenging Republican Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez voted to impeach Trump in House. Because of this, the Ohio Republican Party decided to censure Gonzales. The said representative currently faces many calls for his resignation.
Upcoming Rally of Former President Trump to Be the First of Many
Last February, the former president praised Miller’s performance as an aide at the White House. Trump also said Miller would become a “fantastic” addition to Congress.
At one point, the former president described Miller as a wonderful person. He also said Miller did a “great job” during his time as a White House aide. Trump added that Miller “is a Marine veteran, a son of Ohio, and a true PATRIOT.”
In last year’s presidential election, Trump won the state of Ohio by 8 percentage points over Joe Biden.
The upcoming June 26 rally serves as the first one the former president has had since he left office back in January.
As per USA Today, the former president plans to also host a rally on July 3 which would reportedly take place in Tampa, Florida.
Additionally, Trump has hinted that he would have another presidential campaign for the election cycle in 2024.
Late last April, the former president confirmed that he was considering running again. If he did, he said he would consider Florida Gov. Ron Desantis as his potential running mate.
