Bruce Springsteen: “If Trump Is Re-Elected … I’ll See You on the Next Plane”
Singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, 71, recently had a virtual conversation with the Australian press. According to him, if Trump wins the election, he might not stay in the U.S.
Springsteen was born in the United States. However, he has joked that he will move to Australia if Trump gets re-elected, reported The Daily Mail.
Springsteen Moving Away?
When Springsteen was asked if he would ever consider moving to Australia, he said, “I would consider that.”
“I love Australia,” he continued. “Every time, we have nothing but good times down there. It’s always a treat to come. Love the people, love the geography, great place for motorcycle trips, it’s close to our hearts.”
The Daily Mail mentioned that Springsteen “made the remark – which wasn't intended to be taken seriously – after sharing his thoughts on Trump's re-election campaign and its chances of success.”
“If Trump is re-elected – which he will not, they're predicting right now he's going to lose – but if by some happenstance he should, I'll see you on the next plane,” he said.
Fox News reported that Springsteen also talked about his upcoming album, “Letter to You,” which will be out next week. He revealed that he wrote some of his new songs on a guitar given by a “young man” after a Broadway performance.
“I looked at it and I could tell right away that it was beautifully made so I brought it home … and it played beautifully, it sounded gorgeous … and it had a variety of different types of wood, it was a real piece of craftsmanship,” he also said. “So I left it in my living room. When I started to feel the urge to write, I just picked it up because it was such an easy play.”
