On Sunday, Kellyanne Conway, the counselor to the president, said she will leave her position at the end of the month to focus on her family.

“I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month. George is also making changes,” Conway said in a statement.

Talking about her husband, George Conway, she said: “We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months.”

“As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention
and vigilance that is as unusual as these times,” she added.

Conway pointed out that her decision is “completely my choice and my voice.”

Fox News explained that Conway has been one of the “most effective envoys for Trump.” She rarely backed down from questions from the press. As Trump’s campaign manager, she helped him win in 2016.

Her husband has been an intense critic of President Trump. He told The Washington Post that Trump’s presidency is “maddening to watch.” Trump once called him a “stone cold LOSER & husband from hell.”

To conclude her statement, Kellyanne Conway said: “In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”
