Domino’s has recently announced that it will hire more than 20,000 employees nationwide. They will hire for positions such as delivery drivers, pizza makers, and customer service representatives. The pizza chain will also look for assistant managers and managers.

More than this, the company’s supply chain centers are also hiring for production and warehouse team members and CDL drivers.

Fox Business reported that the company’s “U.S. same-store sales spiked 16% in the second quarter compared to the same time a year ago, marking the 37th consecutive quarter of growth.”

“We realize that these are tough times, and not only do we want to maintain strong service levels, but we also want to provide opportunities to those who have lost their jobs or are facing reduced hours,” said Tom Curtis, Domino's executive vice president of operations.

He added that the company is offering flexible work options for those “looking for a steady income.”

Domino’s move follows what its peers have done. Some of these restaurants include “McDonald’s Corp, Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc and Dunkin Brands Group Inc,” as per Reuters. The said restaurants “have added tens of thousands of workers in recent weeks.”

This announcement is Domino’s second hiring spree since the pandemic began, Fox Business said.

The company introduced contactless delivery and “carside” delivery options for carry-out orders to strengthen sales during the pandemic.

“It's a privilege to be able to feed families across the country and provide them with a small sense of normalcy during this pandemic,” said Curtis.

“The health and safety of the brand's customers and store team members is our top priority, and because of that, Domino's is continuing to offer contactless delivery and carryout, as well as Domino's Carside Delivery™,” he added.
