Ex-Obama Doctor Wants Biden to Submit a Cognitive Test Immediately
Rep. Ronny Jackson, the former White House physician who served under former presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, penned a scathing letter addressed to President Joe Biden. In it, Jackson demanded Biden undergo a cognitive test immediately. Jackson notes the president's “mental decline and forgetfulness” as the basis. He says these have become more obvious in the last 18 months.
More than a dozen lawmakers signed the letter. All of them urge Biden to “follow the precedent” that was set by Trump. It involved documenting and demonstrating “sound mental abilities.”
The letter also mentioned that Americans must have “absolute confidence” in the person leading the nation. It added that the people “deserve to know” that the President can perform the duties and responsibilities of the Head of State and Commander in Chief. Additionally, it stated that the people also “deserve full transparency” when it comes to the “mental capabilities” of the President. It continued that to achieve this, the said lawmakers urge Biden to do a cognitive test as soon as possible. The lawmakers also urged him to publish the test results. This way, the people will become aware of the “full mental and intellectual health of their President.
The said lawmakers also included several instances when the president had trouble recently. They noted that while on the campaign trail, he first “grew testy” and asked why he needed to take an assessment. However, the letter noted that Biden said he was “very willing” to let the people of America judge his physical and mental health, but he stumbled in getting the message across.
