- A 20-year-old man viciously attacked two people in Virginia in what the FBI believes may have been an ISIS attempted beheading.
- The two victims were seriously injured.
- The FBI is now investigating the attack along with the Roanoke County Police Department.
- Eye witnesses of the attack claimed that the attacker, Wasil Farooqui, was shouting “Allah Akbar,” during the attack.
Wasil Farooqui, 20, was recently charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, in an attack that happened Saturday. Using only a knife, he brutally attacked two people inflicting serious bodily wounds, but was that his intention? It now appears that there is an investigation into the attack. Why? The FBI fears that it was actually an ISIS attempted beheading that didn’t end up going to plan.
The FBI confirmed to Fox News that they are investigating the stabbings that happened in Virginia along with the Roanoke County Police Department.

The Special Agent in charge of the FBI’s Richmond division, Adam Lee, said, “The FBI is working with the Roanoke County Police Department following the incident that occurred on Saturday evening. While I cannot discuss details of the investigation at this time, I do want to reassure the community that we are working to determine the nature of the incident.”
Farooqui, on Saturday, attacked a man and a woman in an apartment complex in Roanoke, Virginia. The two victims were seriously injured during the attack. A handful of eyewitnesses claimed that Farooqui had been shouting “Allah Akbar,” during the attack. The authorities believe that he was trying to behead the male victim, no information is known to why the authorities think that at the moment.
So far there is no known connection between the victims and Farooqui.
Farooqui is being held in Virginia until the end of the investigation.
