Kamala Harris Sworn in as Vice President of The United States

Kamala Harris is sworn in as the Vice President of the United States of America.
She is the first woman, first African American, and first Asian American to hold the office.
She is the first graduate of a historical Black college to become Vice President. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first woman of color to serve on the Supreme Court, administered the oath for Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Ceremony
At the beginning of the ceremony, Senator Amy Klobuchar said, “When she takes the oath of office, little girls and boys across the world will know that anything and everything is possible. And in the end, that is America.”
Vice President Kamala Harris' oath matched the same oath taken by members of Congress. Here are a few tweets about our new Vice President Kamala Harris:
Rep. Pramila Jayapal:
As the first South Asian American woman elected to the House, I'm deeply proud to call Kamala Harris OUR Vice President—the first woman, first South Asian American, and first Black woman to hold this position of public trust.
A powerful moment in history!https://t.co/ShXl2jEGc1

Hillary Clinton
It delights me to think that what feels historical and amazing to us today—a woman sworn in to the vice presidency—will seem normal, obvious, “of course” to Kamala's grand-nieces as they grow up. And they will be right. pic.twitter.com/1gQOvmNipB

Tragic day for American people
No no no again. The way she acts reminds me of girls at a pajama party all gritty and trying to act grown up
