Kathie Lee Gifford Praises Hallmark Movies: ‘There’s a Huge Demographic Out There That is Not Offended by Faith’

Kathie Lee Gifford, former “Today” host, appeared on “Fox & Friends” and discussed her upcoming faith-based movie “A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love” that is set for a Hallmark debut. She praised the network for its offerings that honor faith and family. Gifford added that Hallmark knows what American is missing, “and they're missing out on wholesome, beautiful stories.” She says that the difference in their movies is that their movies are true.

The film is based on a book series and is based on everyday people in real-life situations. “These things really happened to real people. We're grateful that Hallmark came to understand that there's a huge demographic out there that is not offended by faith. They embrace it, they've been waiting for it,” said Gifford.

Gifford pointed out that the concept of “Godwink” is that there are no coincidences. “When you’re a person of faith and you believe in a sovereign God, there is no coincidence,” she said.
