Britney Won’t Pay For Lynne Spears’ Legal Fees

Early in November, Lynee Spears petitioned Britney to pay for her legal fees worth $660. The argument she made was that her lawyers helped Britney walk away from her father Jamie’s conservatorship.

As a result, she wants the pop star to pay for her legal bills amounting to $660.000.

However, Britney had other ideas. Instead of giving in to the request, she responded with a big “Go F**k Yourself” message to her mom.

She then accused Lynne Spears of giving Jamie the idea to put her in conservatorship in the first place. In contrast, Lynne claimed that she discovered problems with the conservatorship in 2019.

In effect, she and her lawyers helped free Britney and allowed her to manage her own affairs.

Lynne Spears Has No Authority To Compel Britney To Pay For Her Legal Fees

Formally, Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart issued a statement rejecting the request. He wrote that Lynne Spears’ petition cites no authority to impose Britney to pay.

Instead, she should ask the former conservatorship’s estate to pay for third-party fees. Specifically, Rosengart said that Lynne had the right to hire and pay for her own counsel.

But she will have to use her own funds to pay them. In effect, this is an issue between Lynne and her lawyers. Briney has nothing to do with this.

In addition, Rosengart claimed that Lynne is already living for free for a decade in Britney’s own house.

Her daughter already paid more than $1.7 million for utilities, maintenance, and insurance on the property. Rosengart insists that Britney is already paying way too much.

‘Go F**k Yourself'

Last November, Lynne Spears sought $663,000 in money from the conservatorship to cover her own legal fees.

Her lawyers said that her insights led the courts to limit Jamie’s conservatorship. As a result, Britney should be thankful and allow the conservatorship’s funds to cover her legal fees.

However, Briney took to Instagram to dispute her argument. She told her mom to “take your whole ‘I have NO IDEA what’s going on’ attitude and go f— yourself. Psss my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago,” she added. “But what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea.”

Judge To Decide On July

The courts decided to hear Lynne Spears’ request last Wednesday. This initially went underway but was pushed back almost immediately.

The presiding judge said she needs more time to carefully consider the recent filings. The hearing will now reset for a new date in July.
