There are a lot of people who look towards the mainstream media to keep them informed about what is taking place in the world. And, thanks to modern-day technology, it is easier than ever before for this source to do this.

As long as someone has a Smartphone, then, this source can keep them up to date with what is going on. One can then know about what is going on around them and what is taking place on the other side of the world.

Completely Connected

Like a walking god, it can be as though one is omniscient. If they could go back in time and tell their ancestors about how they experienced life, it would probably be hard for these people to get their heads around how they experience life.

For some of them, it might seem as if one has special powers or are part of a super-advanced civilization. For others, living in this way could be seen as being incredibly stressful.

Lopsided

If they were to say this, it would be hard to say that this is much of a surprise. Having a constant stream of negativity delivered to their phone is not exactly going to be good for their well-being.

Sure, there will be moments when they hear about positive things, but, in general, they will be exposed to things that are negative. Consequently, they can have a view of reality that is anything but balanced.

Programmed

After being exposed to this source for many years, perhaps from a very young age, they could have a number of beliefs that are negative. Still, even though these will be beliefs, they can be seen as the truth.

These beliefs will create a lens that defines how they see and experience life, which shows how powerful they are. What this means is that while they can believe that they are just observing reality – the reality that the media presents as reality – they will be observing a reality that they have co-created.

Stepping Back

If then, they were to step back and to reflect on what they believe about the world, largely due to what this source has told them, they could fund that they have some, if not all, of the following beliefs:

  • That the world is a dangerous place
  • That the world is unsafe
  • That bad things just happen
  • That some people are powerless victims
  • That there are people out there who want to harm them

What is clear from these beliefs as well as others is that this source is not going to empower them. Instead, what it will do, in addition to undermining their wellbeing, is cause them to see themselves as a powerless victim, and, as a result of this, to live in fear.

A Natural Outcome

However, as this source typically creates the impression that bad things just happen, people are either victims or perpetrators and doesn't even acknowledge the fact that human beings have an unconscious mind let alone the fact that this part of them is largely in control of how they experience life, how else would they be?

They will be like a sitting duck, just waiting for something bad to happen.

This is, of course, another part of what this source does; it sets people up to have negative expectations. To use an analogy: without knowing it, this source will have filled their consciousness with weed seeds and these seeds will have grown into weeds, making it hard for flower seeds to be planted and then for flowers to appear in their life.

One Perspective

Taking this into account, it could be said that this source of information is a manifestation of what could be called victim consciousness. When it comes to the levels of consciousness, this is right at the bottom.

In this position, someone will see themselves as a powerless victim as opposed to a co-creator of their reality. Their view of reality will be filtered through the victim/perpetrator dynamic and life will be seen as a power struggle/battle.

Rising Up

To move out of this paradigm, it will be necessary for them to see how they are viewing reality through the duality of their ego-mind. This part, along with their eyes, will also cause them to see themselves as separate from what is taking place externally.

In other words, this part of them will create the impression that they are just a passive observer of reality. The other part of this will be for them to realize that they have both a conscious and an unconscious mind, with it being their unconscious mind that has the biggest impact on their life.

The Chicken or the Egg

If this source is a manifestation of ‘victim consciousness, it would mean that as more and more people ‘wake up and realize their inherent power, this source will have to reflect this shift in consciousness. So, although it does have an effect on humanity, it is still an effect nevertheless.

Trying to change or put an end to the mainstream media is then a waste of time and energy; especially as what is resisted is what will both persist and grow. The key will be for individuals to raise their own consciousness, something that will primarily take place by healing their inner wounds.

Final Thoughts

It is easy to see the mainstream media as the problem but it is just an effect of what is taking place in the collective consciousness. What is taking place externally, as unpleasant as some of it is, is a mirror of what is taking place internally.

Focusing on what is going on externally and trying to change it is the norm in many societies around the world and has been for quite some time.

This approach, an approach that is an expression of ego-consciousness, has prevented a large part of humanity from dealing with their own inner wounds; the wounds that have kept the status quo alive.
