Tennessee Livid As Migrant Kids Sneaked Into State

Tennessee officials are furious after getting reports that migrant kids are getting secretly transported into the state. Apparently, this happens in the middle of the night without their knowledge.

Transporting Migrant Kids To Chattanooga 

Reportedly, the administration of President Joe Biden is transporting migrant kids into an airport in Chattanooga. From there, they ride on buses to cities within the Southeast. Local news outlet WRCB-TV Channel 3  first reported this discovery. 

Senator Marsha Blackburn R-TN) told Fox News that the activity is highly suspect. The transportation of migrants takes place during the night without the knowledge or permission of the local communities. 

Symptom of the Biden’s Policies 

Tennessee’s lawmakers describe the development as a symptom of the Biden administration’s policies. It also reflects the failure of the administration to control the flow of migrants at the order. As a result, Biden now puts their communities at risk. 

Meanwhile, Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN), issued a statement calling for answers from the Whte House. “I have warned for months that President Biden’s failure at the border would result in a systematic resettling of migrants in our communities, burdening our schools, hospitals, and law enforcement agencies, and bringing an increase in drug trafficking and human smuggling. A new reality is happening in our country—every town is now a border town,” he said. In addition, Blackburn said Biden is putting not only migrant kids at risk, but Tennesseans as well. 

Tennesseans At Risk

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and 20 other Republican governors sent a letter to the Biden administration calling for action at the southern border. They noted that the immigration crisis is already spilling over into many US states. He said ““The crisis is too big to ignore and is now spilling over the border states into all of our states.”

“The Biden Administration refuses to secure the border and is instead scattering unaccompanied kids all over the country with no regard for the consequences. When we push back and demand answers, they cut off transparency and embolden one of the worst human trafficking crises we’ve seen at our border in the last 20 years,” Lee added. He reminded the administration that they don’t have “neither the resources nor the obligation to solve the federal government’s problem and foot the bill for the consequences of this administration’s misguided actions.”

No Comment From The White House 

Spokespeople for the White House, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services did not return Fox News’ requests for comment. Despite the administration’s declaration to reduce the number of migrant children in US border facilities, the numbers remain high. As of last week, the number of children in HHS custody numbers to more than 20,000. 

Meanwhile, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said encounters at the border declined to about 1,830 people per day. However, he noted that the number of migrant kids coming into the border remains fairly high.
