Motorist Assaults 82-Year-Old Trump Supporter Holding Trump Sign
82-year-old U.S. military veteran and supporter of President Trump, Charlie Chase, says he was holding a Trump sign and wearing a Trump hat when a motorist “allegedly got out of his car and charged toward him,” Fox News said in a report.
“Give me the (expletive) sign!” the suspect said, as said by the police.
“The guy, when he came at me, Chase stated. “I have never seen a horror story that the face was so filled with hate and anger as his was,” he added. “I was just frozen.”

According to Fall River police, 27-year-old Aidan Courtright got out of his car and approached Chase. The younger man said, “Give me the f—ing sign!”
“Courtright then forcefully ripped the sign out of the victim’s hands, ripped it in half, and threw it on the ground,” police said. “Courtright then went after the victim, grabbing him by his shirt, knocking his hat off, and throwing him violently to the ground.”
The suspect reportedly kicked the man “with leather pointed shoes” and drove away. Chase was then taken to a hospital to be treated for bruising.
“According to the other fella that was with me, I didn’t know that [the suspect] had lifted me up, but he apparently lifted me up and flung me down on my back to the ground,” Chase said.
Police responded on a call that Chase was “violently targeted for his political views and violently assaulted,” as per Providence Journal.
Courtright was charged with civil-rights violation with injury, and assault and battery on person over 60. He was also charged with vandalism of personal property, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the Journal reported.
Donald Trump Jr. tweeted about the incident with his supporter. He said: “Awful. An 82 year old wearing a Trump hat was attacked by a leftwing nut job in Massachusetts. All political violence is wrong, but what kind of person commits violence against an elderly man? If anyone has contact info for the victim please send my way.”
