Newsom and Media Silent on California’s COVID Rate Doubling Florida
New recently released data has revealed that California’s COVID cases have climbed to twice what Florida has. However, both California Gov. Gavin Newsom and mainstream media remain silent about this fact.
Many in California have felt the stress a fascist leadership in the state might bring.
Throughout most of the pandemic, the Golden State was adamant about keeping everyone in masks. Additionally, the prolonged lockdown and mask mandates have caused some violent crime and domestic crime abuse to climb. These also resulted in the abysmal performance of many public schools in the state.
To top this off, in October, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) had tried to take credit for the state’s COVID-19 infection rate dropping. However, this is far from the truth as California’s numbers have been steadily climbing back up, unlike Florida, where masks aren’t required.
The COVID-19 infection rate in California has stopped falling. Instead, it’s going on a steady climb, heading towards the CDC’s red “high” level of virus transmission. This comes as the virus’ delta variant continues to wreak havoc.
However, Southern states like Florida and Texas remain in the CDC’s orange “substantial” transmission level. In these states, their leaders have been adamant to oppose mask requirements and other strict mandates.
California mandates vaccines and requires masks.
Florida mandates neither.
Yet California’s COVID-19 case rate is now TWICE that of Florida’s.

Additionally, the Golden State’s vaccination rate is on a higher level compared to Florida and Texas, but this hasn’t stopped the rise in infection outbreaks. In California, 62% of the population has a fully vaccinated status. Meanwhile, Florida reports 60% while Texas reports 54%.

Tampa Bay Times reported that early signs exist that indicate the decline of the delta surge at a national level has stopped, according to Ali H. Mokdad of the University of Washington, which runs a model that projects the course of the pandemic that many follow. At the moment, 19 states are seeing increased transmission, including California and other states where the rates “previously appeared to have been declining.”
California’s COVID rate is now DOUBLE Florida’s, despite being one of the most restrictive states in the country.
Shutdowns and Mandates are not the way.
We need to keep the country FREE and OPEN.

“You’re paying for your success, which is weird,” Mokdad also noted. “You succeed in controlling the virus, and now you’re having infections.”
Meanwhile, Florida reached another benchmark last week as Doctor’s Hospital, the first one in the state to treat a COVID patient in 2020, announced that hit has no COVID patient admitted in its care for the first time since the pandemic hit.
On Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary, Christina Pushaw, talked to Fox News and was asked for comment regarding this milestone. To this, she exclaimed that “This is great news! For two weeks and counting, Florida has had the lowest rate of new COVID-19 cases in the entire country” even without mask and vaccine requirements and lockdowns. She also noted that overall, the transmission rate in the state has been going down for over 70 days straight and that hospitalization rates are at an all-time low statewide.
