Obama Negotiates With Terrorists
- Ted Cruz criticized a prisoner swap that took place over the weekend.
- The swap traded 7 Iranian prisoners for 4 American hostages.
- Ted Cruz warned that this sets a dangerous precedent moving forward and was critical of Obama's weak foreign policy.
- None of the Iranians were being held on charges of terrorism or guilty of violent crimes.
GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Sunday criticized the prisoner swap this weekend between the U.S. and Iran, saying the Obama administration is “negotiating with terrorists” and suggested the deal is part of the president’s overall weak foreign policy.
“Our enemies are laughing at us,” the Texas senator said on “Fox News Sunday.”
The deal announced Saturday returns four Americans in exchange for the release of seven Iranians, whom Cruz said were detained for trying to help Iran with its nuclear program.
U.S. officials said the Iranians were either sentenced or awaiting trial in the United States but were not associated with terrorism.

They also said the seven were offered clemency and were not associated with violent crimes.
“They tried to kill us,” Cruz said Sunday.
The four Americans are Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, Pastor Saeed Abedini, former U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati and Nosratollah Khosravi.
U.S. officials announced Saturday that a fifth American, student Matthew Trevithick, was recently freed but that his release was unrelated to the swap.
The United States also removed any Interpol red notices and dismissed any charges against 14 Iranians previously sought but not in U.S. custody, as part of the deal.
They were released hours before Secretary of State John Kerry announced that Iran had fulfilled its duties toward curtailing its pursuit of a nuclear weapon, in exchange for the lifting of crippling economic sanctions and the return of $100 billion in frozen assets.
“Praise God, Americans are coming home,” said Cruz, who is trailing front-running GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump but leading in Iowa, according to most polls. “But this deal is really problematic.”
Cruz also said the swap sets a “dangerous precedent,” despite the White House saying it was a “one-time” situation created by the nuclear deal.

Iran supports terrorism, Obama got nothing and gave away everything in the Iran Nuclear Deal, Obama armed ISIS, he pulled out of Iraq to early, he will not vet the Muslims entering this country, many with fake ID, the FBI has reported this over and over. I thought Rev. Jeremiah Wright held the Obamas’ Christian credentials with his racial rants that everyone whined about in 2007, the birther smears and Kenyan-Muslim lies just get the rabble worked up.
Like it or not, American – Iranian relations are warming up. Iran is not the enemy, the Persians have been around a lot longer than the Yanks, Brits, or even the Turks. The Islamic revolution that filled the void of the weak Shah’s departure is the result of CIA hijinks in their coup in the elected President Mossadegh. The debriefing even coined the term blowback, that the natives will eventually sack the Shah. We didn’t put the Ayahtollah’s in power, the US just fertilized the soil and sowed the seeds in 1954.
Iranians are Shia-Shiite the infidels to the fundamentalist Wahabbi – Sunni that Saudi Arabia is and are marked for death by Islamist law. Iran is the primary enemy of ISIS, Saudi-Israeli alliance depends on a weak Iran so American warmongers feed propaganda to Americans that Iran is the enemy. -

if you look at the trail Obama has set he is behind a lot of the terrioust that is happening. .He is not a person of trust it would be of best interest to remove him as quickly as possible befor he tell the whole terrioust the whole USA system. .don’t know why the congress has not throwen him out of the office as of yet he is no american leader. look at his action it shows terriousium in him daily.. why have a terrious in are office?
