Reporters Need To Be Held Accountable For Blatant Trump Lies

No matter who ended up winning the White House, there was bound to be heated political commentary and debate. But no one could have foreseen how sore of losers Crooked Hillary’s supporters would turn out to be. Or just how much reporters would place emphasis on protests and lies over legitimate government business.

President Trump has been in office for less than two weeks, yet it feels like snowflake protests have been going on forever.

Don’t these people have jobs?

Every time I turn on the TV or radio there’s another anti-Trump protest. The irony is that these people are protesting a man who they feel represents violence. Yet, nearly every single protest breaks out in violence, rioting, and looting – with violence as protesters target Trump fans just for being Trump fans. So much for their “Let Love Unite Us” approach.

But I don’t blame these poor simpletons

Reporters Need To Be Held Accountable

The media is who’s at fault. Since day one, the media has attacked President Trump for doing exactly what he promised the country he’d do! Why do they act shocked or surprised? He literally told the country what he would do, and now he’s doing it.

But the media twists everything he does into some horrible thing.

Look at border security. Trump promised us a wall, and now that he’s actually building it, NOW all of a sudden everyone is concerned about our neighbors to the south? Or his executive order to pause travel from seven Muslim countries and put a cap on how many refugees can enter the country? Do you know where the precedent for those countries came from? Hint: He was the POTUS before Trump. That’s right, Obama came up with that ban – but we don’t hear anything about that, now do we? And every president has had a cap on refugees. All Trump did is lower that cap back to the level it was at when Obama started his second term (55,000 refugees per year).

How about his decision to withhold federal dollars for abortion? Somehow that got twisted into “abortion is illegal” and “Trump is trying to control women’s reproductive rights.” Except that never happened. Trump simply said that women should be responsible for the costs themselves. If they or their significant other who impregnated them can’t afford an abortion, maybe all parties involved should be more careful when considering unprotected sex.

Look, freedom of speech is our First Amendment right. But at what point do we keep protecting these “Fake News” networks who are purposely and maliciously spreading false misinformation? All these protests which erupt into violence and chaos fall solely on the shoulders of the media. They attack not only President Trump, but his advisors and his Press Secretary, too. If they were reporting factual news and actual events as they happened, that’d be one thing. But that’s not what’s happening at all. These “reporters” are focusing on one word, sentence, or phrase, taking it out of context, and purposely twisting it against our administration.

And do you know what the end result of this is?

The media is fanning the flames of snowflakes. They make them think it’s okay to attack our government, to take matters into their own hands. I’m not saying a government should have total control over anything, but when a people turn against their democratically appointed leader, we spiral into chaos and weaken our country, making us susceptible to foreign powers and influence who see us as crumbling from within.

This can not be allowed to happen.

The government needs to have more control over the media. I’m not talking about censorship or anything like that. But simply saying that inaccurate information or articles should be penalized, fined, or even criminalized. They MUST be held accountable for their lies.

When a “news agency” purposely publishes a mistake as malicious intent, or a misunderstanding or miscommunication as a calculated plan of action, we end up with more protests, violence, and loss of American life. If we really want this country to be safe and great again, we need to do something about the media instigating more problems so that they have more “news” to report.

Reporters shouldn’t have to print a retraction when they’re wrong, they should be fined. Or go to jail. Or fired. And the agency itself should see a penalty, as well. That would ensure more fair reporting across the board.

At the very minimum, the media should be banned from the White House and from all events, meetings, or gatherings involving the President or his staff.

Enough is enough.

If yelling “fire” in a crowded theatre counts as a crime, so should lighting a fire under innocent, gullible Americans who then go do something stupid and harm this great country.

Yes, freedom of speech should be protected, but when it causes strife and chaos, those responsible need to be held accountable.
