Sony Reveals Prices of PlayStation 5 and PS5 Accessories

Gamers and PlayStation lovers are definitely excited about this.

The PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12th in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. It will be unveiled to the rest of the world on November 19th.

According to Sony, the PS5 will cost $499.99 when it launches alongside the game maker’s $399.99 Digital Edition.

“Over the past few months, we’ve been able to show you a glimpse of the stunning new games being created for PlayStation 5, taking advantage of the console’s unique capabilities to deliver lightning-fast loading, heightened immersion, and a whole new generation of experiences. And we’re excited that the time for you to experience these brave new adventures is almost here,” wrote Jim Ryan, President & CEO at Sony Interactive Entertainment, in a press release.

According to Ryan, they’ll provide “choice to gamers with two PS5 console options at launch, depending on if you want a digital-only experience or prefer disc-based gaming.”

“Whichever PS5 you choose, you’ll enjoy the same breathtaking, next-gen gaming experiences,” he also stated.

Sony also released pricing for the PS5's accessories. Such accessories include the DualSense Wireless Controller for $69.99 and PULSE 3D wireless headset for $99.99, among others.

The company also revealed a sneak peek of new games that will launch on the PS5. Some of these include “Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition” and “Final Fantasy XVI.”

Preorders of the Playstation 5 began at “select retailers” on September 17th.
