During his State of the Union address, Biden discussed his challenges in getting approval for his American Rescue Plan.

As he delivered his speech, he also took the opportunity to criticize the Trump administration’s tax breaks. Immediately, boos rained from the Republican part of the audience.

In particular, a loud chorus of disapproval erupted when Biden referred to Trump’s program instead of his own accomplishments.

He praised the benefits of the American Rescue Plan. Then, he compared it to a totally unrelated tax reduction program from the previous administration.

“Unlike the $2 trillion tax cut passed in the previous administration that benefitted the top 1% of Americans,” Biden said. This triggered a loud round of boos from Republicans in the gallery.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, A Democrat, was seen uncomfortably standing up as the nearby audience began booing Biden’s remarks.

According to Biden, the American Rescue Plan Worked

Then, Biden went on to explain how the American Rescue Plan worked to help work and middle-class Americans. “It worked. It created jobs. Lots of jobs. In fact — our economy created over 6.5 million new jobs just last year”.

The President added that the US economy grew at a rate of 5.7% last year. He said that this is the strongest growth in nearly 40 years.

Then, the President began criticizing trickle-down economics. He said that for the last 40 years, everybody pushed for trickle-down economics.

If we gave tax breaks to those at the top, the benefits will trickle down to everyone else. However, that theory led to weaker economic growth, lower wages, and bigger deficits. It also created the widest gap between the rich and the poor.

Biden Mentioned Economic Growth But Ignored Inflation Rate

Conveniently, the President did not provide details on the country’s inflation rate last year. During the same year that economic growth hit 5.7%, the US inflation rate rose to 6.8%. This is the country’s highest rise in the price of goods and services since 1982.

Wages also rose last year to the tune of 3.6% between June 2021 and June 2020. This is the highest rate recorded in more than a decade.

However, the high inflation rate of 6.8% virtually erased workers’ gains from their salary hikes. In effect, American workers received a 1.7% pay cut from their wages last year due to inflation. This is according to numbers presented by the Bureau of Statistics

More Than Half of Americans Disapprove of Biden’s Presidency

Prior to his State of the Union address, the President is dealing with low approval ratings all around.

Many Americans are beginning to doubt Biden’s ability to regain his ground, especially with the 2022 midterm elections just around the corner.

According to a February 28 NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ poll, 57% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of his presidency. Another 55% say that the President is not a clear communicator.

In addition, 54% think that Biden is not mentally fit. These numbers do not exactly show confidence to the President of the United States.

I feel America is being laughed at by the rest of the world. I am in the 200% below the poverty level group. Biden has done nothing for my people except make it harder on us. His so called increases in wages – but inflation outraising that by 50% and only helping the people with children with tax credits and more stimulus does nothing for those in the disabled or social security group. Oh but wait, he increased social security with a COLA but then medicare rates went up to outdo COLA. I received less now than I received before I qualified for Medicare. At least Trump gave stimulus to everyone and the world respected him as a leader with brash and with respect due to his economic and business background and the ability and resources to get things done. Let us not forget that now with Biden our borders are not protected we are free range as a territory to claim and conquer.

Biden is a puppet installed by the democratic party to destroy the country. He is not even a creditable politician and should be removed from office. Bring back Trump so he can salvage what is left of the country.
