FINALLY: FBI Proves Trump Had NOTHING to Do with Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol Attack
The investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation was not meant to find out if former President Donald Trump had nothing to do with the “insurrection” and “coup” that took place at the Capitol last January 6. However, a new Reuters report destroys any claim that Trump directed the said attack on the Capitol building and that he urged his supporters to prevent the transfer of power from becoming a peaceful one.
The Reuters report said that “The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.”
The report did recognize that federal officials managed to make over 570 arrests, the FBI thinks the incident was not centrally coordinated by Trump supporters nor by far-right groups. The FBI inferred these based on information gathered from sources directly involved in many investigations.
A former senior law enforcement official, one with knowledge about the prove” said 90-95% are “one-off cases.” The official went on to add: “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”
People Arrested Were Trump Supporters Only Swept Up by Outside Extremist Groups
With this, the FBI said it believes that many of the people arrested at the Capitol riots were supporters of Trump who were just swept up by external extremist groups. With this, it seems Trump did not have anything to do with “ordering” the siege.
In bringing a partisan case to the Senate, nine House impeachment managers made the case that Trump was the only one responsible for the riot. These nine people hand-picked by House Speaker Pelosi gave their argument in an 80-page document.
Although, the former president couldn’t be able to “incite” the Capitol riot, which has been planed before he made his speech. According to a New York Times report, rioters had breached the first barrier at 12:53 p.m., which was at the Northwest side of the Capitol. The news outlet then reported that Trump made his call to action at 1:12 p.m., almost 20 minutes after the first barricade breach. Additionally, he also delivered his speech 1.5 miles away.
The former president’s speech can be considered as standard political fare. In his speech, he urged his audience to “peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard.” He also intentionally used the word “fight” in the most commonplace political context.
He said: “For years, Democrats have gotten away with election fraud and weak Republicans. And that’s what they are. There’s so many weak Republicans. And we have great ones. Jim Jordan and some of these guys, they’re out there fighting. The House guys are fighting. But it’s, it’s incredible.”
The then-Commander-in-Chief, who was also the leader of powerful intelligence and law enforcement agencies, did not choose a motley crew of extremists just to carry out a “coup” to disrupt the proceedings in the Electoral College. From the start, the impeachment case had ludicrous arguments, but it didn’t stop mainstream media from sensationalizing it.
Mainstream Media Jumped on the Bandwagon of Blaming Trump
Reuters itself made a report, claiming that Trump tried to “thwart” a peaceful succession of power in an article it put out regarding the January 6 riots.
“Trump has sought for weeks to thwart a peaceful transfer of power, aided by groups such as ‘Stop the Steal,’ which promoted stopthesteal.us the day’s protest and peddled false claims about voter fraud on Facebook and other social media,” the Reuters report said in part.
This report is one deceptive narrative of many, which doesn’t even include the effort Dems have been putting in pushing arguments that the elections have been “stolen” or had otherwise contested results. One article by USA Today shows one such misleading narrative about Trum and January 6.
“As the cases against nearly 200 of the Capitol rioters begin to wind through federal court, many of the defendants blame the commander in chief they followed for the violence that left five dead during the insurrection Jan. 6,” USA Today previously reported.
“In court documents, media interviews and through official attorney statements, staunch supporters of former President Donald Trump who carried out the attempted coup argue they were merely doing what they thought the nation’s leader had asked, some citing a cult-like loyalty,” the news outlet went on to say.
Although, until now, no defendants connected to the January 6 riot have been charged with “insurrection” or “treason.” In fact, a lot of those charged with violent crimes are now getting plea deals to sop the release of exculpatory evidence in discovery, including video footage of what happened that is 14,000 hours long.
Now, the FBI is coming clean with regard to the events of the Capitol riot. It has found insufficient evidence against the 550 defendants that would even suggest it was a coup. Nothing also suggests that Trump “incited” the siege or had instructed the extremists to do it.
Nevertheless, this lack of evidence did not stop the partisan and deceptive impeachment against Trump. This just shows that the Democratic Party doesn’t care about dividing the people of America with extreme and unfounded claims against those who oppose them.
