This past May, Trump unveiled a list of 11 potential nominees to fill the vacancy left by the death of Antonin Scalia this past February. President Barack Obama nominated U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Merrick Garland to fill the vacancy this past March, but Senate Republicans have refused to consider him.
Also in the interview, Trump said that he and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., have become “very close” after their relationship appeared strained at times during the tumultuous campaign.
“We agree on a lot of things,” Trump said. “We’re going to put in a health care bill, a real strong health care bill … we’re gonna do something that’s going to be great for the people and a lot less expensive.”
The president-elect also predicted that Democrats would join Republicans in helping to move some of his proposals through Congress.
“A lot of people say, ‘Oh, he's never been in politics' when I've really been very active, mostly on the other side,” Trump said. “But we're going to have a lot of Democrats joining us on a lot of these things, maybe even health care. But so many of the the things we are going to be pushing are common sense and we would get a lot of support [so] I think that's going to start happening soon.”

A conservative SCOTUS will assure that the
Constitution and then principles set forth by our Founding Fathers will be adhered to without the encroachment of the Communistic left doctrines so favored by the
leftist liberal establishment who want nothing more that that the USA become another member of the so-called World Order doctrine. The United States was born as a free country under the Almighty and its citizens are to be protected as such from government tyranny and dictatorial disciplines. The new make-up of SCOTUS will provide that protection for several decades to come. Our grandchildren and their children will live in a free society protected by and under the greatest document ever created by a group of men who sought freedom from royalty serfdom.
Our country needs help after all the years of abuse by past Presidents.
America has always been conservative. During the last 50 years the loudest voices have been those of liberals. This election proves America is still conservative by a wide margin.
Because those he is choosing to appoint believe in freedom for Christian’s to pray, and no abortion, traditional marriage, uphold our Constitution rather than reinterpret it, uphold our laws, allow states to maintain their laws, having faith in God and His Word.
bout time too many judges are using personal feelings to influnce decions. instead of what the constatution says. one scjustice even canceled classes on the constatution
Our nation should be focused on saving the lives of its citizens, not taking the lives of its innocent citizens. Also, the Justices should be judging between litigant’s understanding of the Constitution, not interpreting it or making new law. Making law and explaining the intent of those laws is the job of the legislature.
