A video has revealed officers pushing an elderly man who fell to the ground and started to bleed on the sidewalk. Two Buffalo, N.Y., police officers received a suspension without pay following the incident.

“He's bleeding out his ear!” someone in the video said.

“Tonight, after a physical altercation between two separate groups of protesters participating in an illegal demonstration beyond the curfew, two Buffalo Police officers knocked down a 75-year-old man,” Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said on Twitter.

“The victim is in stable but serious condition at ECMC,” the mayor said. He also mentioned that he and Buffalo Police Commissioner Bryon Lockwood feld disturbed by the video.

According to the mayor, Lockwood directed an immediate investigation.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo called the incident “wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful.”

“I've spoken with Buffalo @MayorByronBrown and we agree that the officers involved should be immediately suspended pending a formal investigation. Police Officers must enforce — NOT ABUSE — the law,” Cuomo said on Twitter.

According to reports, the man appeared unresponsive on the sidewalk. Officers in riot gear continued to sweep off an area outside Buffalo City Hall before the curfew took effect.

Fox News reported that police originally said the man “tripped & fell” without mentioning that officers had pushed him.

Authorities arrested a fifth person “during a skirmish with other protestors and also charged with disorderly conduct,” a police spokesman said in a statement. “During that skirmish involving protestors, one person was injured when he tripped & fell.”

Medics responded to the scene and put the man in an ambulance.
