The kin of several black persons killed in high-profile police shootings slammed the Black Lives Matter organization. In particular, they slammed Patrisse Cullors, who reportedly profited off the deaths of their loved ones, and then ducking accountability.

Mothers Of The Victims

The mothers of Tamir Rice, Breonna Taylor, and other victims used by Black Lives Matter lashed out against the organization.

In particular, they lashed out against BLM co-founder Patrice Cullors, who resigned last week. Previously, Cullor's recent house buying spree attracted media attention.

The kin accused both BLM and Cullors of using their children’s deaths to raise money. However, they failed to give some of the money to black families in need.

“I don’t believe she is going anywhere. “It’s all a facade. She’s only saying that to get the heat off her right now,” said Samaria Rice, the mother of 12-year-old Rice, who was shot in Ohio.

Cleveland police mistook his toy gun for a real weapon when an officer shot him.  In addition, Lisa Simpson, whose son was shot in Los Angeles, California, added. “Now she doesn’t have to show her accountability. She can just take the money and run.”

Cullors Resigns From Black Lives Matter

Last week, Cullors announced that she will step down from the BLM organization to focus on her book and television deals.

Previously, media reported that Cullors went on a house-buying spree the last few months. Reportedly, she spent more than $3 million to purchase four private residences.

In addition, The Daily Caller reported that Cullors “used her position as the charity’s leader to funnel business to an art company.

The operator of the art company, Trap Heals, is the father of her only child. Experts said BLM’s arrangement with the art company amounts to self-dealing and raises ethical and legal questions.”

Cullors, though, claims her resignation is not the result of her spending binge or her art company tie-up. Instead, she told the media that “right-wing attacks” tried to discredit her.

However, she doesn’t operate off of what the right thinks about her. Meanwhile, Rice and Simpson claimed that Cullor’s problems extend more than to the right.

We Never Asked BLM To Represent Our Kids

In particular, Rice said that she first asked CUllors to help reopen a federal investigation into her son’s 2014 death. Outside of email exchanges, Cullors never communicated with her face-to-face. Meanwhile, Simpson claimed that Black Lives Matter raised $5000 for her son’s funeral. However, they never gave her the money.

In a statement posted in March, the two women accused BLM of leaving them “clueless and broken” after their kids’ deaths.

“We never hired them to be the representatives in the fight for justice for our dead loved ones murdered by the police. The ‘activists’ have events in our cities and have not given us anything substantial for using our loved ones’ images and names on their flyers.

We don’t want or need y’all parading in the streets accumulating donations, platforms, movie deals, etc. off the death of our loved ones, while the families and communities are left clueless and broken,” the pair said.

Last month, Tamika Palmer, Breonna Taylor’s mother, agreed with Rice and Simpson's remarks against BLM. “I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud (sic),” Palmer wrote.
