A Plea To Our Presidential Nominee Donald Trump

Published

on

I wrote an article recently asking a tough question of Mr. Trump, had he given up? I detailed some of the more careless and irresponsible things that he had done recently. I also showed why it was so important to the whole nation that he secured victory in November.

After that, Donald Trump actually started really trying to turn his campaign around. I’m not taking credit in any way, shape, or form, just noting that he must have come to the same conclusion, that if things stay the way they were going, he would not win.

So he made changes. He replaces the head of his campaign (Paul Manafort) with the chairman of the Breitbart News Network (Stephen K. Bannon). A move that brought in someone especially media savvy into the mix. It was also a controversial move, but one that seemed to pay off.

Right away, Donald Trump held a rally in which he actually stated that he says the wrong things from time to time and that he “regretted” some of the statements he had made. This was huge for Trump.

He then proceeded to travel to the flood devastated areas of Louisiana, something neither Obama nor Clinton had done. He handed out aid and comfort to people that were desperate for both.

Now, I don’t care if you think that was just a photo op or if you think that he only got in the way. The people he helped needed it badly, they were hurting and he helped them at least a little and at the end of the day the reasons don’t matter, a good deed was done. It was also seen and reported widely on.

After all that, Donald Trump’s polls were back up. He was neck and neck with Hillary in a few key states. He had righted his campaign’s ship and for a brief moment, conservatives across the country let out a much-needed sigh of relief. Then this happened…

Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!

Tried watching low-rated @Morning_Joe this morning, unwatchable! @morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!

I don’t care if you hate Morning Joe and agree with Donald Trump on all of it. I for one can’t stand the show. This is the exact type of outburst that he needed to put an end to.  This does not look presidential and we desperately need him to be our president.

After all the good will and positive press he had accumulated, Donald Trump once again pushed them away with headlines of his petty nature. And for what? What did he gain with this? He is our conservative presidential nominee and, like it or not, he owes us a fair shot at the White House. The people deserve a better and clearer choice than Hillary Clinton. Except, I worry that that message is being lost in the noise.

It also came out on Monday that one of his key counties in a key swing state, one that he was already behind in, is being run by a 12-year-old.

Jefferson County, Colorado campaign was being reported to be run by a child. His mother is actually running the campaign, but has allowed her son full control while out of school. I’m sorry, I’m all for allowing a kid with political aspirations the opportunity to learn, but this needs to be stopped. There is simply too much at stake for this to go on.

Donald Trump, once again, right you campaign, stick to the issues, and go out and beat Hillary in November. The system may be rigged, but it won’t matter if you don’t try a little harder.
