The favorability rating of President Joe Biden took a dive after the chaotic exit of the U.S. troops and diplomatic personnel from Afghanistan. Scenes from the horrific situation have been broadcast on most media outlets in and outside the U.S.

According to Just The News, a ner Rasmussen Reports poll found that Biden’s approval index went down by 17 points compared to what he had in January. It has been his lowest since he was sworn into office.

“A total of 46% of Americans approve of Biden’s performance while 53% disapprove – also the highest that number has been,” the outlet also mentioned.

Additionally, the Convention of States Action, along with Trafalgar Group, reported that 69.3% of Americans disapproved of the way Biden handles military operations. The said figure is considered a supermajority of Americans.

Conversely, only 23.1% approve of it while 7.5% did not have an opinion.

Most Americans Disapprove of How Biden Handled Afghanistan Exit

Among Democrats, 48.2% of those surveyed disapproved, while 39.8% approved of the way the exit in Afghanistan was handled.

Among Republicans, 88.8% disapproved of the president’s actions while only 7.1% gave their approval. For political independents, 74.8% disapproved of the military operations while 19.8% approved of it.

To add more detail into the Trafalgar/Convention of States Action poll, 59.5% of respondents mentioned that they “strongly disapprove” of the matter while only 9.8% say they only “disapprove” of it.

Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action, reacted to the situation n Afghanistan, liking it to Saigon, and even saying that it may be worse.

“Our nation has watched the same group of leaders in Washington D.C., flounder and blunder on foreign policy, on COVID-19, on the border, and on the economy,” Meckler said.

“After spending more than $1 trillion dollars and enduring wounded and dead soldiers, we are confronted with a basecamp for terror, a foreign policy nightmare, and are now less safe here at home,” he went on to say.

Former President Donald Trump, in a statement, also said that what’s happening in Afghanistan at the moment is far worse than the fall of Saigon in 1975.

“What took place yesterday in Afghanistan made our withdrawal from Vietnam look like child’s play,” Trump said through a statement published on Save America PAC.

“Perhaps in World history, there has never been a withdrawal operation that has been handled so disastrously,” the former president added.

“A President who has been illegitimately elected has brought great shame, in many ways, to our Country!”
