In reference to the Republican National Convention, Democrats called it “chaotic” on its first night. They also blasted President Trump for his “failed leadership” in his administration’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
Democrats pointed out the death toll from the pandemic as they encouraged Americans to vote Trump out of office.
“Trump’s chaotic convention highlights the failed leadership of the GOP in the White House and the Senate. They oversaw a failed pandemic response and sat on their hands as families cried out for relief,” tweeted @TheDemocrats on Twitter.
“We need to vote them out. Make your plan to vote,” the tweet added.
Biden Campaign Criticizes Trump Administration’s Pandemic Response
"Nikki Haley" – @NikkiHaley used to trash #CandidateTrump – now she has a permanent residency up his bloated butt! For her to now praise Trump & say that the confederate flag is a symbol of service means she needs a job since #Boeing fired her! Hypocrisy at the highest level! pic.twitter.com/1nb1HJv4r9

Fox News reported that Biden’s campaign posted an ad showing prominent Republicans who criticized Trump during the 2016 election season.
In the ad, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who spoke at the Republican convention on Monday evening, shared her testimony. She says Trump “is everything I taught my children not to do in kindergarten.”
On the other hand, during the convention, “she praised the president’s foreign policy agenda and heavily criticized Biden as weak toward America’s adversaries,” Fox News reported.
The Biden campaign also hit Trump on the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
“If you tuned into the Republican convention tonight looking for some indication from President Trump that he has a strategy to contain the coronavirus, you’re still waiting. Instead, what you heard tonight was a parade of dark and divisive fear-mongering designed to distract from the fact that Donald Trump does not have an affirmative case to make to the American people about why he should be re-elected,” said Kate Bedingfield, the Biden for President deputy campaign manager.
“The truth is that his failed leadership has needlessly cost over 177,000 Americans their lives, tens of millions of Americans their jobs, she mentioned. She also added that it “left the United States the hardest hit country by the pandemic in the whole world. Yet six months into this crisis, he still doesn’t have what Joe Biden proposed months ago,” she added. This, she says, is “a plan to get us out.”
