Over 160 migrants, including people from Albania and Romanians, illegally went over the border into the U.S. on Saturday morning.

Bill Melugin, a Fox News national correspondent, who was there when border patrol agents worked to gather the people who crossed, said that the group, including several minors, went into a spot in La Joya, Texas, after crossing the Rio Grande.

According to Melugin, the “main chunk” of these illegal migrants who entered the country on Saturday morning came from South America. However, he also noted that some migrants in the group came from an array of areas. The reporter also revealed that more illegal aliens are expected to arrive.

Melugin shared a photo from the Fox News drone that was in the area. It revealed that the migrants manage to bypass an incomplete wall segment, which was under construction during the time of former President Donald Trump in the White House.

“As you can see from our drone, once they cross the Rio Grande, they walk paths around the incomplete border wall,” Melugin said.

When President Joe Biden took office back in January, his administration ordered an immediate stop to the construction of a high fence measuring 30 feet high. This left a gaping hole at one of the most vulnerable parts of the Southern border.

This construction halt caused over $100 million worth of materials to go to waste in Texas. Melugin also mentioned that there was enough steel there to construct more than 100 miles of the border wall. However, he revealed that only 14 miles worth has been done prior to the halt ordered by the Biden administration.

Rodney Scott, Biden’s former border security chief, stated when the materials were discovered that the country was paying $5 million daily for on-hold contracts. This means, the Biden administration has been paying for construction that is going nowhere.
