U.S. President Donald Trump-Obama on Trump’s Election Claims- “I'm More Troubled by the Fact That Other Republican Officials Who Clearly Know Better Are Going Along with This”-ss-Featured

In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, former President Barack Obama talks about President Donald Trump's unproven claims of voter fraud.

“They appear to be motivated, in part, because the president doesn't like to lose and never admits loss,” Obama told Scott Pelley in a clip from the interview that aired on “CBS Evening News.”

“I'm more troubled by the fact that other Republican officials who clearly know better are going along with this, are humoring him in this fashion,” Obama said. “It is one more step in delegitimizing not just the incoming Biden administration, but democracy generally. And that's a dangerous path.”

Regarding his claims, CBS News explains that Trump refuses to concede the election and launched several lawsuits alleging widespread fraud in several states.

Biden’s transition is “in a kind of limbo,” Fox News reported. It sets up agency review teams and names officials such as chief of staff Ron Klain. However, it “still has not officially been ascertained to be the winner by the General Services Administration (GSA).”

According to the GSA, it is following precedent by not ascertaining a winner in the election. This also happened in 2000 between former President George W. Bush and his Democratic opponent Al Gore.
