Panic Grows As America Opens: Mass Shootings Soar Across The Country
Since Friday night, 10 mass shootings and acts of gun violence across have rocked the U.S.
All in all, seven people lost their lives and over 45 people suffered injuries from the shootings, per Gun Violence Archive. Among the victims were at least two kids aged 10 and 15, according to law enforcement.
These shootings are the latest in a streek of fatally violent weekends that the United States witnessed in recent weeks.
Last weekend, 10 mass shootings also occurred across U.S. states, killing a total of 12 people and injuring 57 others.
According to GVA, the 293 mass shootings ravaged the country in 2021 so far.
For the purposes of this report, a mass shooting is defined as an incident where four or more people got shot, not including the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, a weekend starts from Friday afternoon until Sunder overnight.
In Newark, New York, four people suffered injuries in a shooting that took place on Saturday, per GVA.
Here are the other incidents of gun violence that took place across the U.S. this weekend.
Atlantic City, New Jersey
One person died while three others suffered injuries in a shooting incident on Sunday evening that took place in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Right after 6 p.m., local officers responded to a shooting scene where they found four men with gunshot wounds.
All four were rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, one of them succumbed to his injuries, per the prosecutor’s office.
Currently, the ACPO Major Crimes Unit as well as the Atlantic City Police Department are investigating the incident.
Colorado Juneteenth Celebration
One person was killed and four others were injured during a Juneteenth celebration in Colorado.
Local police responded to an incident that happened at a shopping mall parking lot in Aurora, a Denver auburn. They received over 50
reports of shots fired during the said celebration just past 4 a.m. on Sunday.
Law enforcement found a man with a gunshot wound. They rushed him to a hospital, but the man ultimately died. His identity has not been disclosed.
Four other adults, three males and one female, suffered injuries. They were also brought to local hospitals. Luckily, none of their injuries were life-threatening.
According to the police, the celebration started “in an unnamed unit” at the said mall.
At some point during the festivities, the presumed organizers started denying access to the unit. Because of this many attendees gathered in the parking lot.
Based on evidence gathered by the police, the incident saw multiple shooters. Investigators also managed to collect more than 114 shell casings at the scene, as per the police.
Indiana Juneteenth Celebration
A person died while four others suffered injuries at a Juneteenth celebration in Indiana on Sunday, according to a press release by the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit.
Officers responded to a bar in Granger at 4 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting during a “Juneteenth Summer Bash” that happened in the parking lot.
A 26-year-old man died in the incident. Four other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that evidence suggests that multiple weapons were used in the area.
Richmond, Virginia
Four people suffered injuries in yet another instance of gun violence that rocked the U.S. this weekend. This time, it happened in Richmond, Virginia on Early Sunday, per police spokesperson Officer Phon Hoonsan.
According to the police, officers responded to a report of a shooting incident a little before 1:30 a.m. local time. When they did, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. The said man was rushed to the hospital as he had life-threatening injuries.
Apart from this man, three other victims had self-transported to the hospital. All of them had gunshot wounds, but one of them had suffered life-threatening injuries.
The said incident happened at a parking lot where a large crowd had formed.
Dallas, Texas
In Dallas, a total of eight people suffered gun injuries following a gunfight between partygoers at two different celebrations. The incident happened just after midnight on Sunday. According to the police, among the eight injured are a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old.
The police have discovered two separate groups conducting different parties in their own different suites at the location. At one point, the partygoers gathered behind the suites where an argument erupted.
A physical fight broke out between the two groups before they decided to go back to their suites and start shooting at each other.
According to police, the 10-year-old suffered a gunshot wound in the leg, while one other victim needed to undergo surgery.
Oakland, California
One person died and over six people suffered gunshot wounds in a shooting incident that took place on Saturday evening. The said incident took place near Lake Merritt in Oakland, California, per the police.
According to the Oakland Police Department, their resources were already in the area when the incident took place at around 6:20 p.m.
Officers from the department were there to monitor public safety following the gathering of around 5,000 people at Lake Merritt.
During the incident, seven people got shot. One of them, a 22-year-old San Francisco man, died after arriving at the hospital.
In connection to the incident, the police arrested two men and confiscated two firearms after officers observed the two men fleeing from the scene immediately after the shooting.
The police are currently working to determine if the two arrested persons were actually connected to the shooting.
Anchorage, Alaska
One of the ten acts of gun violence that happened in the U.S. over the weekend took place in Anchorage, Alaska
The local authorities are investigating a shooting incident that killed a person and injured four others. The said incident took place early Saturday morning in Anchorage.
Law enforcement responded to the scene where they found five adult victims – three males and two females.
All of the victims were rushed to a hospital where, unfortunately, one woman passed away.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Two people died while four others suffered injuries during a shooting incident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana early Saturday morning.
Authorities found victims in a parking lot when they responded to reports of a shooting.
According to police, an argument broke out between unidentified individuals as partygoers started to leave a concert in a nearby venue.
During the said argument, several people started firing shots and managed to hit six people.
Two of the victims succumbed to their injuries. The four others were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Minneapolis, Minnesota
A shooting incident occurred in Minneapolis on Friday night, leaving five people with injuries.
Authorities responded to reports of gunshots in the Dinkytown neighborhood.
When police arrived, they found three men and two women suffering gunshot non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a hospital nearby.
As per the police, the suspect ran away from the scene before they arrived.

Crime soars as criminals go unpunished, and we can;t understand the correlation.
Many (most?) of these ‘mass shootings’ were gang banger thugs who ‘decided’ trying to shoot up other gang banger thugs out in public was a good thing to do. Add in that far too many of the shooters (actually just bullet sprayers) were juvenile ‘yoots’ and most of us can come to a logical conclusion as to cause and effect.
Oh wait, I’m pretty sure that every single one of them got their guns legally and filled out all of the required federal and state ‘gun control’ paperwork (insert eyeroll).

Why is it mass shooting increase when democrats are in power? Do they help create conditions for them so they can push their anti gun agenda. Look at Chicago very strict gun laws and shooting every week. I gather from this more laws do not work. The democrats in Chicago blame gun shows in Indiana and other states.
