SmartAsset, a personal finance technology company, has recently listed the fastest-growing jobs for women in the U.S. this year.

“Though female and male workers joined the workforce at almost equal rates, certain jobs have seen huge increases in female employment specifically, allowing for further opportunities for women to more easily cover their expenses and meet their savings goals,” SmartAsset said in its report.

The company investigated the fastest-growing jobs for women in America by using Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data “to rank the four-year percentage growth by occupation from 2015 to 2019, the most recent year for which detailed occupational employment data is available.”

The study did not include occupations with fewer than 25,000 women employed in 2015 or if the occupation title included “other” or “miscellaneous” due to “lack of occupational specificity,” the report says.

Among the remaining jobs, the company found the percentage change of women employed in each occupation from 2015 to 2019.

One of the study’s key findings also states that women are moving into historically male-dominated jobs. Additionally, the study found that COVID-19 has impacted female employment in a negative way.

Four of the top 10 fastest-growing jobs for women (physician assistants, construction managers, painters, and laborers) “fall into healthcare & social assistance and construction, which are two of the industries that have shed the most jobs during COVID-19,” the report said.

The top 10 fastest-growing jobs for women in the U.S. are:

  1. Couriers and messengers
  2. Taxi drivers and chauffeurs
  3. Construction managers
  4. Physician assistants
  5. Construction and maintenance painters
  6. Environmental scientists and geoscientists
  7. Construction laborers (Tie)
  8. Network and computer systems administrators (Tie)
