The Trump Organization has entered the U.S. telecom market with a new product line under the name Trump Mobile. The offering includes a branded mobile plan and smartphone tailored for customers who identify with the Trump brand. The “47 Plan” provides 5G service for $47.45 per month, which is priced to reference President Donald Trump’s status as both the 45th and 47th president. Trump Mobile is marketed as a premium wireless option for conservative Americans. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data, along with perks like roadside assistance, telemedicine, and international calling. It uses network capacity from the three major U.S. carriers: Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T.

The Trump Mobile will offer both the plan and a physical device. The T1 Phone, available this August, is gold-colored with 256 GB of storage, a built-in camera, and an etched American flag and “T1” branding on the back. It runs on an Android operating system and will cost $499, including a $100 down payment. According to the company, the phone will eventually be manufactured in the U.S., though the current production appears to be overseas.
The service is available now and can be installed on existing phones, making it accessible to early adopters while the branded device is still pending release. Users can subscribe by visiting the company’s site or calling a dedicated Trump-branded hotline: 888-Trump45.
Trump Mobile: Targeting a MAGA-Focused Customer Base
The product is positioned squarely toward Trump’s political base. The launch came on the 10th anniversary of his original campaign announcement and follows other Trump-branded ventures such as Truth Social, Trump sneakers, Trump NFTs, and the Trump coin.
Eric Trump called the offering a way to give “hard-working Americans” access to a mobile service that reflects their values. He added that the service is “based right here in the United States,” though questions remain about the actual domestic footprint of the phone’s production.
Critics and watchdog groups have raised concerns about regulatory conflicts of interest. The mobile service operates in a sector governed by the Federal Communications Commission, currently led by a Trump appointee. The Trump family, however, claims to be licensing the name only and not directly managing operations.
Blending Commerce with Political Identity
The branding strategy aims to capitalize on cultural alignment with conservative buyers. Supporters see it as a patriotic alternative to mainstream tech brands. Detractors view it as another example of a business exploiting Trump’s political influence for personal profit.
The plan’s benefits also echo services that appeal to middle-income, rural, and older consumers, groups more likely to be loyal to the Trump brand. While most mobile networks offer similar coverage and speeds, Trump Mobile’s appeal lies in identity signaling and not innovation.
At a time when right-leaning consumers are actively choosing ideologically aligned alternatives to mainstream tech products, Trump Mobile fits a growing category of niche virtual network operators. Whether the venture succeeds depends less on its technology and more on its ability to tap into its target market’s sense of loyalty and consumer identity.
