Trump Plays Pivotal Role in Groundbreaking Mid-East Peace Deal
A newly signed pact established diplomatic ties between the UAE and Israel. Additionally, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the deal is a “turning point for peace.”
The accord was finalized on a Thursday morning call between President Trump, Mr. Netanyahu, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed. Prince bin Zayed said on the call, “This is the best news in 2020 – and it hasn’t been a very good year.” The momentous deal puts an end to decades of tensions between the two Middle Eastern states and serves as a beacon of hope for peace in the region.
Trump took the call from the Oval Office. About a dozen senior staff members stood by to witness the historic event. When the call ended, the group erupted in an impromptu standing ovation for President Trump. The president played a crucial role in brokering the deal. Witnesses report the president felt genuinely touched by the display. Trump then eventually stood to return the applause to the group. “Amazing job, guys,” Trump said, “I’m very proud of you.”
After the three leaders spoke on the call, they released a joint statement on Thursday. The group agreed to “full normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.”

One excerpt from the statement reads, “This historic diplomatic breakthrough will advance peace in the Middle East region and is a testament to the bold diplomacy and vision of the three leaders and the courage of the United Arab Emirates and Israel to chart a new path that will unlock the great potential in the region. All three countries face many common challenges and will mutually benefit from today’s historic achievement.”
Delegations from Isreal and the UAE plan to meet within the next few weeks. In these upcoming meetings, they ain to further discuss their new diplomatic relationship. The two envoys are expected to “sign bilateral agreements regarding investment, tourism, direct flights, security, telecommunications, technology, energy, healthcare, culture, the environment, the establishment of reciprocal embassies, and other areas of mutual benefit.” The joint statement also notes, “Opening direct ties between two of the Middle East’s most dynamic societies and advanced economies will transform the region by spurring economic growth, enhancing technological innovation, and forging closer people-to-people relations.”
Under the terms of the deal, Israel will “suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President’s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world.” This clause most pertains to Israel’s efforts to annex the West Bank, a Palestinean community near its territory.
The West Bank has been a sore spot between Israel and its Arab neighbors for decades, but the accord builds hope that a peaceful solution is possible. Isreal and the UAE said they will continue working to “achieve a just, comprehensive and enduring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Despite President Trump’s instrumental role in putting together this deal, the mainstream media is widely ignoring the story. MSNBC didn’t report on the story through most of its evening programming docket. CNN touched on it for two minutes, but the host downplayed the achievement and mocked the Trump administration efforts.
The Dems also downplayed the president’s achievement. Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI), a key figure in the party’s unabashedly anti-Israeli Progressive wing, called the deal a “sham.” “Delaying annexation is not historic,” said Pocan. “Israel’s planned unilateral annexation of the West Bank remains a violation of international law & Palestinian human rights. If Israel moves forward with annexation, Congress must put conditions on U.S. funding to Israel.”
The media and the Dems are working hand-in-hand to deny Trump any positive headlines in the homestretch before the election. However, they can’t take this one away from him. The Democrats are busy pursuing frivolous investigations and dragging their heals in stimulus negotiations. While that is happening, President Trump is brokering earth-shattering peace deals. Despite the lack of media credit, informed voters are likely to see through the left’s transparent efforts to silence the president’s achievements.
